  The below negative post was from Margareta republic, in Spanish spring, The Villages Florida. From the beginning when the service call came into my office, I had told the representative from Margarita republic, (Which was the cook that called for service), that it would be cash on delivery, NO checks! The Representative of Margarita republics said no problem that he understood and he is having a hard time getting people to come there, to do any repairs Margarita republic had changed ownership three times due to financial problems and I have received bad checks from this location twice before. After investigating the roof exhaust fan for the main exhaust hood, it was found that the exhaust fan had an undersized motor that had been worked on by someone prior. The Fan was electrically and mechanically disassembled. The Cook which was the only one at the location gave me instruction to reassemble everything to see if it could be operational due to the Kitchen and dining room was filling with smoke, before their Friday lunch hour at 12pm, (it is now 9am Friday when we arrived 45 minutes after the service call came in for emergency service.) The Motor was a $450.00 specialty motor made exactly for this exhaust fan, and would be a difficulty installation due to all the grease and oils all over the roof and exhaust fan due to the hood had not been degreased in better than 6 months and is a fire hazard. I instructed the customer we can order the motor to be delivered at no charge to our office so there is time for them to hire someone to degrease this hood before a fire happens and we can install the motor Monday. Obviously this was not an option for the customer due to the kitchen and dining room was filling with smoke and no one could breathe in the kitchen due to the smoke. I instructed the customer that I had to drive to Orlando supplier and it would be a 1.5-hour round trip and fuel and pickup charges would apply. The Owners of the restaurant had finally showed up at 10:30 am stating that the restaurant was under new ownership and under a new corporation and would I accept a check. I re-informed the owners that I specifically stated Cash and No checks due to the restaurants bad reputation for paying bills in the past and changing names and corporations does not help and they do not have an open account any longer due to bad checks. They became outraged and I said I will write a bill for the 2 hours and material for the time I have spent reassembling the unit and would rather not complete the repair due to being a fire hazard. The Building was owned by The Villages and I am a recognized repair company to be allowed to work on their premises and do not want to jeopardies that or cause a fire due to all the grease on the exhaust and roof, which could cause loss of life to the attached building. By the lack of maintenance at this location it seems there are still management problems and financial problems. I have been in business over 35 years and have seen shell games with business in the past and I am an honest reputable company! There are always two sides of a Story!

  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! This is the worst experience I have ever had in my life. The "Owner" Stephen Libuttie was here to do a job and basically after looking at what was needed to be done he decided he didn't want to do the work on the roof because it was too hot and the part would be up in Ocala and depending on traffic we would be charged. I asked him if it would be easier to do the work early the next morning and he said no he didn't want to do the work. But he had no problem charging $396.63 for literally doing nothing other than trying to rig the issue and get our exhaust fan to work. He was told prior to the job that the fan was broken. He proceeded to tell us that he only accepts cash on delivery because "I DON'T TRUST YOU PEOPLE IN THE VILLAGES". He was rude and made us feel extremely uncomfortable with his insults. Extremely UNPROFESSIONAL. I WILL NEVER EVER USE HIM OR EVEN CONSIDER CALLING THIS COMPANY AGAIN. Couldn't get him out of the building fast enough. HORRIBLE!!!
