I had an old AC unit that has been running my bill up. I got several quotes and decided on Shumate.

They showed up at the scheduled time, installed the system inside and out, and cleaned up everything. Other than the new system, they left no footprint. Great service and fast installation.

I have to say that I procrastinated replacing our HVAC system due to cost as long as I possibly could.  But I am loving this new HVAC system from Shumate.  The team who installed it all in one day was very professional.  The system works perfectly.  I love controlling it all from my phone and the speed with which it cools and heats the house.  Most importantly, it operates whisper quiet.  I would definitely recommend Shumate and Bob Reid to anyone looking for a new HVAC system.

We lost heat at 2AM Sat night, house temp went to 56 degrees. called Sun AM @ 10:49, they called me back @ 12:12 to schedule. Service Tech made the repair in 15 minutes and finished by 3:00!!!  5 star response

I have used this company for over 2-years.
One technician improperly installed our Smart Thermostat. When another technician came to repair it at our next appointment they informed us that it was not possible based on the way the previous installer had handled it.

On our most recent maintenance visit we had been using our furnace for over 2-weeks.  The technician did not come inside, nor ask us to turn off the unit at the thermostat. Our unit stopped working. When we realized what had happened, another technician was dispatched and told us our circuit board was fried and it would be over $800 for the part, not including labor.

These people have cost me more money and headache than should ever be the case.

We have found an electrician for life! While most people think of Shumate for HVAC, we heard about their Electrical division and called for a quote to install 30 outlets, light switches, canned lights, etc. in our unfinished basement. We were introduced to Todd, who came out for the initial inspection, gave us an extremely detailed quote and then did all the work himself. His knowledge and attention to detail are amazing. The contractor finishing our basement said Todd is one of the best he’s ever collaborated with to complete such a long-term project. We are calling Shumate and requesting Todd for all future electrical needs in our house.

It's been a long time since I was stunned (in a good way) by the service I received from any company, but Shumate has gone above and beyond to keep my family loyal customers. We had an AC unit installed 10 months ago and while the unit itself had some issues - Shumate never hesitated to service and repair the unit in the utmost professional manner. They showed up on time, every time. Their staff is friendly and well-mannered, and I knew I could trust them in my home. When it was finally determined that AC unit needed to be replaced - this was no fault of theirs - not only did they do it in a timely, clean and orderly manner they also replaced it with a bigger and better unit than we originally purchased. I’ve never felt like a number, or just another customer dealing with them. My grievances were heard and addressed and then more than adequately rectified. Shumate made me feel as though the issues we were experiencing mattered to them and they did not rest until we were comfortable with the solution. Shumate has a loyal customer in me and I cannot recommend them enough.

Just purchased two 2-ton Daikin replacement A/C units (condenser and coils units only) for my townhouse. Shumate’s price was much lower than two other estimates for comparable units. Their sales and installation staff were excellent.

I have used Shumate Mechanical for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and handyman services.  I use them not because they are the most affordable, but because they have always been on-time, do the work they say they will do, and do a quality job.

Their handyman team built out my work office in my basement and I have been very happy with the results.

Even in the rare cases where something has been missed, they come back and correct the issue.

It is refreshing to find a company you can trust and rely on.

Absolutely great service!  I called on a Friday expecting to be told I'd have to wait until Monday for relief. To my surprise, Shumate assured me they would be out that afternoon.  Long story short, our technician Will was kind, friendly and efficient. We were chilled and calm soon after.  I understand they can't always be there when you need them but this time...they were.  Highly recommended!!
