I would mark Repair refrigerator/freezer above, but they never repaired anything. The "how was your appointment on Feb 15? notice is completely wrong...I never saw anyone after the original assessment in mid November of 2021. They diagnosed it and ordered the parts in November but provided no repair service at all. After the first service call, they ordered parts and scheduled Dec 3. They did not contact me or show up....ever. After 3 months of having the part but no refrigerator or freezer, I had the thermostat put in by someone else. I am willing to pay for the original service call and the 2 parts, but I paid up front more than $400.00 more than those costs combined. I have asked for the refund for services not provided. Still waiting to hear back.

Techs were great! The automotive process (or system) of service  is Swiss cheese and lacks closed loop communication. Could be more timely, proactive, and customer service centered. With that said, recovery was good-I was fully reimbursed and received great tips/advice from the techs for next steps.

Repairman was on time, courteous, pleasant, and professional. Sears call in service, however, is automated, buggy, and extremely frustrating. For anything outside the initial set up of the repair appointment,  if you can ‘trick’ the system into allowing you to speak to a human, that person is usually not  equipped to speak beyond the scripted questions and answers (I say politely).

Our repairman, Josh, discovered the original technician misdiagnosed the problem with our Kenmore Elite washing machine, so we're getting a refund on a part that was pre-ordered.  He could've just replaced it and never said a word, but he was forthright and told us the truth.  That kind of honesty is practically unheard of in today's society.  We appreciate his integrity and feel that Josh has an unparalleled work ethic.

Very unsatisfactory.  Had to prepay a non-refundable "diagnostic fee", the price of the repair part, and the labor to install it (total $628.34 on Sept. 11).  When repair part was not available in a reasonable amount of time, I canceled the service call and have yet to have my pre-paid expense for part and labor refunded. Calls to the service "hotline" were polite but nothing has been done as of Nov. 22..
Contacted "Sears Hot Line" again Nov. 22.  Individual was polite, took all my info (again) and said it would be forwarded to "Claims Department."  Should expect response in 12 to 15 days
Claim finally resolved in full Dec. 14. Service "hot line" was polite and helpful; just took way too long.

I have been insured for appliance repair with Sears for a few years, and they have been okay until this fall. I needed refrigerator repair in September and scheduled a visit on Oct. 6. No one showed. Rescheduled for Oct. 14. No one showed. Rescheduled for Oct 28. No one showed. Rescheduled for Nov. 10. No one showed, but I did get a call saying the repairman "called in sick." Rescheduled for Nov. 24; and my hero, Albert Mallory, actually called ahead and fixed my refrigerator.

In addition to staying home each failed appointment day from 8:00 to 5:00, this quest has eaten up probably more than twenty additional hours of my time being bounced around among four or five telephone numbers handled by robotic menus without access to a human being. After pretending to be a new customer, I finally learned to access a human being who, occasionally, would forward me to a human being supposedly in charge. At no time did I ever manage to find a person who had the authority to address my paying $49.99 for September and October each for coverage which never produced a repair person or a my paying for service I did not receive.

So, I have challenged my auto-credit-card changes for September and October and will leave it to the responsive credit-card company to contact Sears.

Sears gave prompt and professional service. As soon as the parts arrived, they were able to make the repair a week earlier than estimated. The repair person was courteous, competent and cleaned up after the repair.

Exceptional service from a professional!  Isolated the defeat and when parts arrived made repairs quickly.  Maintained contact on days of service and updates when enroute.  Very positive experience.  Need more professionals like him who take pride in their craft.

Sears/Kenmore  (ServiceLIve) were unable to find a tech to do the repair, after rescheduling multiple times over the span of months. No acceptable response to multiple conversations with managers, etc. -- all conversations lead back to ServiceLive, who then herd you back down the rabbit hole. This is all designed to wear you down, so you give up. The warranty was for the compressor, which Sears ultimately "fulfilled" by mailing me the parts and telling me to get it fixed myself. I've already tried once (to the tune of $900 in labor fees) -- the replacement compressor was also broken. Research has shown there has been a recall on the compressor -- something they are well aware of, but, this way, they don't have to pay to replace -- they can just mail you unusable parts and call the warranty served. Five months later, my 3-year-old refrigerator is still broken. They have continued to ask me to extend the warranty, however. One star is too many, but I can't give them less. No surprise they are going out of business.  NEVER PURCHASE FROM SEARS/KENMORE.

they came 4 times then gave up on my washer and left it in pieces all over my house! i would give 0 stars if I could! negative stars!
