On a Sunday afternoon we discovered our Kenmore refrigerator was warm, and were pleased to find that we could make an appointment for the next morning for a repair person. He came on time, and quickly diagnosed the problem; the fan motor needed to be replaced. Unfortunately the entire parts supply Sears maintains locally is what he has stored in his van, and it did not include the part, so we had to special order it and it would be a week. All of this would have been fine, except that the price that Sears set for this repair was $500---$75 for the part, and $425 for the labor. (The labor took about 10 minutes.) We realized afterwards that we could have replaced the refrigerator for about $800. So, on the positive side, the repairperson himself was great! On the negative, the pricing makes no sense.

Our LG refrigerator was transformed from hot box to ice box by Sears Appliance Repair in answer to a extended Home Depot warrantee. Our tech called ahead on the day of the appointment, arrived on time and was courteous, professional & efficient. …about the only thing that could have been better was for our LG not to have needed the service in the first place.
