Kind courteous and incredible!! They spayed our 2 y/o Bengal mix. They were super sweet with here. She wasn't feeling too hot 2.5weeks after and they took us in right away. Got her back to feeling like the Star she is. Best vet ever. Informative, honest, they are not a clinic who is out for the almighty dollar. They are heros helping animals every single day; unconditionally.

This veterinarian hospital is a 501c3 tax exempt nonprofit and partially funded so I'm told by the state of Florida as well as donations. It provides Superior veterinary Care to those who cannot afford the current charges by for profit veterinarians. I am 75 and unlimited income and cannot afford the prices for much needed surgery by my 15 plus year old shih Tzu who himself was a rescue and adopted by me when he was almost 9 years old. Yesterday they accommodated my bringing Cocoa into the clinic having him looked at and operated on the same day to help me not to have to travel so far. They are very kind considerate and caring. Cocoa's care was super. I had been quoted charges as high as $2,500 and no guarantee that anything would be removed. Cocoa's surgery was a little less than 700 dollars and included a biopsy which will take an additional 5 to 10 days and the e-collar necessary to prevent his getting at the sutures. It also included pain medications and antibiotics. He was also given pre-surgical blood work because of his age. The large hanging mass had become increasingly massive and had to be removed because what had previously thought was benign clearly could have become malignant and may have been the reason why it was growing larger. I learned about this hospital as a referral from a local vet who did not perform surgeries. I would not have known about their existence without that referral. And to that vet in Melrose at companion animal clinic I am also most grateful. The Clay county humane veterinary hospital is in Orange Park and easily accessed from route 17 and is about 30 mi south of Jacksonville. My working definition of success is knowing that at least one life has breathed easier because I have lived. Yesterday and all the tomorrow's to follow what the clinic did for me and for Cocoa made all of them who work there and who practice medicine there flaming successes because not only do I breathe easier but so does my dog. And they are remembered in my prayers of Thanksgiving to the Father of us all.

Will never return. They do not offer transparency when it comes to there upfront pricing of office visits or any other fees that are added to the bill. As a first time visitor I was not happy with the way they handled the the billing process. As I was told by the manager Becky they can not list every price on their website such as office visit or a disposable waste fee. I should have stayed with vetco. I know now for the future. Please include all your prices for services on the website. It might change a persons mind to come again when there are a bunch of other fees that come into play.
