Went as a homeowner to purchase a failed AC capacitor. Found the part I needed but was told I could not buy it. Said “they only sell electronic components to their contractor”. Maybe this should be stated on the website before I drove 45 minutes. Place was clean and well stocked, I guess they would rather have their contractor come out and charge $300 for a $25 part. Only good business for the contractor and not the general customer base.
Response from the owner
Dear Capt. B, thank you for the feedback. You are correct; as a wholesale distributor, we only sell to licensed HVAC/R Contractors. HVAC systems require a certified contractor to install, repair and perform service work. We apologize for any misunderstanding of this situation and will look into ways we can make this more prominent on our website.

Amazing customer service! I walked in to a free Thanksgiving feast! The front desk crew made me feel like I was family. I ended up buying 4 AC filters. Neither Lowe’s nor Home Depot had the sizes I needed...and there was no way their customer service could compete. Couldn’t be more pleased with Baker Distributing Company.

Great service, heads up this store is for HVAC contractors. The general public shouldn't and most likely will not be able to purchase anything from a wholesale HVAC supplier. EPA to buy refrigerant and contractors license to buy at wholesale prices. This is where businesses shop. Not the general public. That's the rules.... and I am sure they are broken every day. Need something you cant find at lowes or home depot that relates to the HVAC industry call a HVAC Contractor.
