      Access came to our house to perform a maintenance check on our furnaces. The Tech indicated that we needed parts replaced on a 12 year old furnace and then gave us a song and dance how the market for furnaces will get much more expensive and that since we were going to spend $4k on repairs, why not just replace the entire furnace. We didn't have a good feeling about this, so we had a competitor come out, and sure enough, the furnace in question was deemed working perfectly. Be wary of these guys.

      My AC unit quit working. Access did show up the next day during a heatwave. Their salesman showed up on time and was friendly. I say salesman because I never once felt like they wanted to help get my unit running. I paid $200 for a service diagnostic. Access wanted another $300 for a hard start kit that did work but had zero guarantee. I had them take off the hard start and only paid for just the service call. The salesman diagnosed my AC as having a bad compressor. He used a tablet to show me how my system was functioning and it showed the compressor wasnt working. Told me the capacitor on my unit was fine. My unit is 6 years old and shown zero signs of problems in the past. Access recommended I schedule a time to meet with the "sales managers" to look into financing a whole new unit. Told me the price difference between a newly installed compressor and brand new unit were almost equal. The salesman apologized profusely about my situation and told me about their financing options. I left the situation worried I was about to have to buy a new unit and spend upward to 4k for repair/replace. The house was over 90 degrees and I have small children in the house. I talked to my wife and decided to get a second opinion. I had another smaller company come out the next day. The service tech ran similar tests as the access salesman and found the problem to be in fact be the capacitor. The service tech had parts on the van and was able to get my system up and running within minutes. Be warned, access will not send out a service tech, but a salesman. Always get a second opinion.

      Hey Jake, We reviewed this visit and we could have done better for sure. We strive for 5 star service and at the end of the day, we did you a disservice by not clearly communicating the full options and the overall health of the system. Often times the immediate issue is a symptom of a larger problem waiting to show up. And we should have communicated better around the overall health of your unit to keep you ahead of preemptive issues. Again, apologies on our end, thank you for allowing us to get better.       Excellent all around! Everyone was professional, on time, and performed quality service and craftsmanship. We would definitely recommend Access Heating and Air to anyone looking for an annual service to full replacement.
