  White Heating and Cooling is one company to avoid at all cost. Nothing is worth dealing with such an unprofessional "business man" as Mr. White. He was contracted through the Community Action Agency to do work for people, including people with limited incomes. One of those jobs happened to be to install a new boiler system for my mom. At first he was nice as could be even openly bragging to us about how beautiful his work was over and over again. But within weeks there were problems. Although the building inspector knew it was not installed properly or per manufacturer instructions it was not deemed dangerous, therefore passing inspection. It was one problem after another, everything from leaking to us having no heat due to pressure build up and error codes shutting down the system. We called him right away and he came once to look at it and said we were good to go. But within another few weeks we were experiencing the same problems. He came out one more time but did not fix the problem. When we called him a third time to tell him we once again had no heat his exact words to me were for me to "acquaint myself with someone in my area". We are in Fort Gratiot and White Heating and Cooling is located in Algonac. After that i called the inspector, he came back to our home and this is when i had my last interaction on the phone with Mr. White. I then handed the phone over to the building inspector and he stepped outside to talk to Mr. White. He also could not get anywhere with Mr. White. Our only other option at that point after talking to LARA was to take him to court. All the while paying other reputable companies in the area to come and temporarily fix the problem at least a few times each winter costing roughly $150 each time, that's not including parts that needed to be replaced because they were not installed properly and therefore broke down. Another winter has rolled around and until we can afford to have the system completely removed and put in properly we will have to continue to pay out hundreds of dollars so that we can have our heat restored. I take more pride in mowing my lawn then Mr. White does in his business dealings..very sad and frustrating! I had to give him one star just to be able to post what we've been through.

  Terrible thing to write on our business page. Way out of line! State of Michigan had us install a boiler. Yes. At a set price. We installed a 95% Navien Tankless Modulating boiler. Relocated it out of the cold uninsulated garage. Where the cast iron 30+ year old boiler was. Installed in the laundry room closet. Running the piping through the crawl space. At no extra charge. Zero cost to her. $0. Passed All Inspections by several inspectors. Years later. Someone she hired, altered the plumbing by replacing the water heater. Probably letting air into the system. After our 18 Month Warranty agreement with the State. Out of Warranty. 2 Years or so after the install when she called. We said. Your now Out of the state program. We're not interested in working there unless it's for the State. We're done there. We don't owe you anything. Especially since it's now been altered by someone else. Call a local contractor, who wants to work with you. Then she yelled the most terrible things she could on the phone. For Many calls. Then called all the inspectors, who sided with us. I'm glad we didn't go there to work out of the program. As for a so called customer. She gets a 0 star rating.

  Called for A/C repair at 7:30 AM. Company truck arrived at 8:30 AM (yes Same Day!). Repair completed efficiently by 9:00 AM including general system check up and at a very reasonable price. Great service by a local company.
