John Palmer was an exceptional technician. He was very clear in his explanations and very patient with my questions, and one of the most professional people I have dealt with. Since I own rentals I deal with many technicians and he was one of the best. If your lucky you might end up with Mr Palmer.

I really wanted this to go well because the tech was nice and seemed knowledgeable but it was terrible communication from the get go, the repair person was never here when expected, to the point I had to call the office 2x for the first visit. For the second time he was coming by with the part to complete the repair, he said at 5pm he was on his way, at 7:30PM still nothing - we called and texted and he finally called back and made clear arrangements to come the next morning. I have tenants who live in this space so every time there was a timing issue, it was impacting them as well. The repair was completed, we paid $249 for diagnostic $189 for maintenance (not sure what maintenance was done, we just changed the filter two days before he was out and there is no explanation on the invoice) and then proceeded to pay $2000 for a draft inducer motor, which I've researched by our serial number and furnace and I'm pretty sure doesn't cost this much or even near to, even considering labor costs. When he was recommending a new furnace to us at the diagnostic, the price for new install started at $6500 then miraculously came down to $5200 by the end of the visit - so the pricing is NOT clear or transparent even on the invoicing. Then when the part was installed, there was another issue discovered, so a part was ordered, it took about two weeks and he was slated to come back to install today between 1-4, per the office. Well, again, 1-4 came and went, as my tenants also stayed home waiting to let him in. Texted him, no response, still no call from anyone. I get that people are busy, I get that things change but the complete lack of respect for our time on THREE different occasions, and care for letting people know what's going on - is not ok. We've hired another HVAC company to come and finish the job. I don't blame the repair person, his job shouldn't be to make and manage appointments.

I was panicked when my furnace showed a blinking red light. I called and spoke to Nicole who talked me off of the ledge, explained the importance of yearly maintenance (the equivalent to an oil change for cars) and was able to send a technician out to diagnose and remedy the issue. I highly recommend Washington Natural Gas and will call them ASAP when/if I need to replace my furnace in the future.
