  I Wanted to Leave an encouraging review for possible new customers using Unifi. Some of the things Unifi does seem off when basing them compared to a traditional bank. Yet after speaking with them directly they are a genuine company and will have your best interests on top. I have used them on two equipment finance agreements and we are working on our third. if you have questions just ask. Thanks Unifi.

  Hi Kris, Thank you for being a Michigan based customer! Since 1978, we have prided ourselves on being very transparent. The financing you have is an Equipment Finance Agreement (EFA), and when you spoke with our customer service team, they provided an interest rate for both contracts. It’s easy to confuse an EFA with a simple interest loan, since these two financing options look very similar from the financing applicant’s point of view. An EFA is like a loan because it creates ownership of the equipment: you get the financing up-front and purchases the equipment outright, then you pay back the financing over the term. The equipment will show up on your business’ balance sheet as an asset. EFAs have some distinct advantages compared to bank loans. With a simple interest loan from a bank, the bank will require a lien on other assets as collateral for the loan. With an EFA, UniFi only has a security interest in the equipment itself, so the business often won’t need any additional collateral — the financed equipment serves as the collateral.
