This is certainly one of the strangest business interactions I have ever had. First off, let me start by saying that the field inspection to determine the scope of work at my residential property was professional and exceptionally thorough. the subsequent office interaction however was border line delusional. I got a quote that was significantly higher than the competitors but believed this came as a result of the attention to detail and additional scope discovered, which no other HVAC company had concluded. Since this was not within my budget, I requested a breakout of each task to understand the numbers in the hope that I could still use Tropical Air and possibly cut some things as we were over $5k in cost impact. I was told that they typically dont do that but to expect a call back, I reiterated that I dont need this itemized in detail but simply a general cost per task. I never heard back, followed up a week or two later and the woman on the line was verbally frustrated and combative from the start. I may use vulgar language at times but by no means do I direct it at anyone unless necessary and use profanity as simply conjunctive vocabulary. After she stopped me from talking and explained her level of offended nature, it was soon concluded that she could not help me and that we would not be doing business. I just cant wrap my head around why you would turn around a potential client for such a simple request, its overly unusual to practically beg for assistance in using someones business and get denied for reasons that feel more based on a temper tantrum and quick judge of character than a mature deliberation over the presented scope of work.

Mr. Poop Salad, We do appreciate your input and understand how interpretations can be confusing. First of all, Tropical Air of Central Florida is transparent in our proposals, invoicing, and customer service. Our proposals are completely inclusive from start to finish and for us to itemized to the micro-level is counter-intuitive to business practices. Our proposal to you, no doubt, was not for the same services as your other proposals. To claim our proposal was over $5k from any others is a bit extreme. Quite honestly, if you could secure a licensed HVAC organization to perform the same as we recommended at 75% less (as you mentioned over the phone), the decision should be simple. To note, I was listening to the conversation you had with the owner, Elaine, and a bit surprised your response was so nasty. In the face of you using the "F" word while speaking to a lady tells much about character. Elaine remained professional and courteous and asked you kindly to not use the "F" word, at which you laughed and further insulted. At no time did Elaine raise her voice or use foul language though she did state you should go with the company charging 75% less. As for a temper tantrum, I do agree one of the two parties expressed a tantrum; Elaine was not one of them. I am truly sorry for any of the confusion and hope your project is completed safely and within your satisfaction. Danny

As the owner of Sunstate Property Management we value relationships with vendors very highly. Few vendors exemplify the courtesy of work and customer service that Tropical Air has in the time we've partnered with them to service and maintain air conditioning systems. Service has always happened swiftly and has finished on time, and billing was fair and reasonable. I use them on my personal properties as well. Recommended highly

My property manager contracted out to Tropical Air at 4:45pm on a Monday and I got a call the same day to setup service for 8am-11am the next day. The tech arrived promptly at 8am and after diagnosing the issue, and coming to the same conclusion that was reached describing the issue on the phone the night before, he was able to repair the unit and had cold air blowing again by 8:45am. Can't beat 16 hours from reported issue to completed repair. And of course I appreciated them doing the needful steps for protecting us like we did for the tech that came out.
