This is the most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. The supervisor or owner actually use profanity to me regarding what I wanted done to my home. They tried overcharging me and at the same time offered me a discount. But the price was still ridiculous. If anyone have any dealing with this incompetent company be sure to get a second opinion just in case. I wish there was a negative rating option.

This place doesn't even deserve a star!! Tri-Star was sent to our house through our home warranty, American Home Shield. They were to look at a leak in our AC pan. The technician came to our house completely unprepared-no ladder or tape measure. He was also very unprofessional and tracked mud throughout the house. Shortly after he left, we noticed the temperature inside the house was climbing. The tech came back very upset and stated, “I did not touch anything!” After he tore the back panel off of the system, he said he found a burnt wire and terminal. He said he was not going to change the terminal and would just put the wiring on a different terminal. However, he put a high voltage line on a low voltage terminal. A fireball shot out of my AC unit. He then told me the compressor was the problem, it would cost me $1,500 and he would be back in a week to fix it. It’s July, 100 degrees outside and now 88 degrees inside my house. I said I would call the insurance company in the morning and he should do the same. Then, “Lewis” from Tri-Star, called me and said I was attacking his tech and that I should call the insurance company and tell them I did not want them back on my property. I said I did not attack his tech, all I said was the insurance company needs to get involved because I just want my AC fixed. Lewis repeated that I should tell the insurance company that I don’t want them on my property so I said okay, hung up and was still left with no AC. American Home Shield wanted me to pay $4,900 to replace the system, which their contractor blew up. We tried for six days to get American Home Shield to correct the problem that their referred HVAC company had caused. We lived in discomfort or eight days, as it was 90 degrees inside our home, and had to go out for meals to avoid adding any extra heat (using the oven, stove, etc). American Home Shield would not even inform me the amount I would be reimbursed. Finally, I called our Home Owner’s Insurance, Erie. They took care of the problem in just two days and are seeking reimbursement from Tri-Star and American Home Shield. I would not get involved with either company! Horrible experience!!!

I have been with TriStar for 26 years I have nothing bad to say about TriStar they all treated me good more like a family atmosphere all the way down to the president actually talk one-in-one with them they have an open door policy they have always found time to listen to someone's complaint or their personal problems. they are willing to go out of their way to help individuals if they can president of the company and the vice president of the company they are two good people they're family-orientated like any other company you have your ups and downs I recommend anyone is out there looking for a job I recommend him to TriStar .
