Too long, not going to read: Honest, quick, reliable, friendly, fair priced, small company with long-term employees. They've been my go-to since finding them two years ago. In 2020 I was going through AC company after AC company trying to get my finicky Goodman's to function reliably. I called Stokley's and they sent out Jerry. He was the first ever HVAC mechanic who didn't knock on the door after 10min with a thousand dollar repair recommendation. He told me what he saw, what he thought was causing the issue, explained everything at my level and gave recommendations for multiple different courses of action to repair. A few months down the road, I called for replacement options. Rob Shortt, the owner, spent probably an hour with me on that first phone call talking about different options. They replaced the split unit for upstairs. The only issue was a foot through the ceiling, to which a drywall contractor contacted me that evening to schedule repairs. A few months later they replaced the downstairs package unit. Only issue with that was some missed caulking on the ducting from unit to wall. Sent Rob an email and the next day when I got home from work, it was taken care of. It's awesome to talk to an owner (more than just once to make a sale), it's encouraging to see happy employees on-site and in the office. I am happy I found the company and my neighbor I recommended them to is beyond happy as well.

Thanks for the 5 star review! While I wish that there were no incidents to report from the installation, this goes to show what I tell most of our customers. We're all human: accidents and mistakes happen. It's how we handle the problem that is important. If you have a problem, please call me and let me know. I can't fix it if I don't know it's broke. You don't have to call me nasty names or threaten me with lawyers or 10 On You Side. We will take care of it. Have a great weekend.

First let me say that the technicians that I have had over the last several years have been very good. Recently called about my AC condenser fan was not running. I assumed it was the capacitor and the technician said it checked out fine and he thought the fan motor was bad. He tried to get the AC unit model, although the data was faded. He did get the data off of the fan motor itself and said he would have the office look for the fan. After two days I was contacted and told they could not match up the fan motor without the unit model number. I was told that since the unit was so old, beyond 10 years, I should consider replacing it. I asked why the motor data would not be sufficient and was told there could be variations. He recommended that I consider replacing it soon because pricing would be increasing substantially after the first of the year and availability would potentially be longer. Recently I decided to look for the motor myself based upon the model data on the motor. I was able to find the exact replacement in 10 minutes online. I was able to successfully replace it myself with little effort. I wish they had put forth the minimal effort to find the replacement as I had.

I am afraid that there is more to the story than you are saying. Your HVAC is extremely old. In fact, the model and serial number have not been visible in the 6 years that we have been taken care of the system. Every year you are having problems with it and every year we suggest that you replace the system because not only is it old, but it is also in very poor condition and it is also completely unreliable. Every time you tell us to just "fix" the unit despite the fact that we cannot guarantee the repair. Typically speaking, we get the information for a replacement part from the model and serial number of the unit. When that is not available, we can try getting the information from the part itself - working with the assumption that if the part was replaced earlier - whoever replaced it previously used the correct part to begin with. Yes, there can be "variations" in a part or model number that can affect performance. We most certainly did try to find the part but we were unable to do so - at the time. Please remember, that you were looking for the part in November, it is now March. It was and still is very hard for us to find parts and equipment. The supply chain is broken due to Covid and we don't have all the answers at our finger tips. It may be that the part that you needed wasn't available but it now is. Your statement regarding equipment pricing and availability is true. We typically see a price increase of about 2% every other year from the various manufacturers. Last year alone we had 4 price increases from the factories totaling 35%. Again, this is from the factories and is beyond our control. I am urging everyone to be more proactive and less reactive when it comes to replacing equipment: especially when the system is as old as yours. Case in point, I just ordered a replacement system for my house and the outdoor unit will not be available for 3 months. I'm not sure that I want to go through a summer without a/c!

Love the Stokeley's. Robb Shortt is the man. They did my whole house almost 20 years ago, moved everything outside or in attic, new ductwork. This allowed me to enlarge a bathroom which was really nice. Came back about 15 years later when ac wasn't working, figured it was broke and I was fully expecting 5000$ bill, ended up being a small part and they fixed it for like a hundred bucks. Totally could've ripped me off and i would never have known. I give them my highest recommendation without reservation.

It's hard to believe that so much time has passed already. It really feels like I was there just a couple of years ago. We would never tell a customer that they need an expensive repair when all they need is a minor fix. I will say that your system is getting up there in years and I would start planning on replacing it soon. Also, thanks to Covid and all the supply chain issues, there is shortages of equipment (as well as parts and materials) from pretty much every manufacturer. Don't wait until it's broke and it's 100 degrees outside. I would suggest being proactive rather than reactive. Thank you for the great review and all the referrals over the years.
