  I have a service contract and automatic fuel delivery and for the third year in a row I ran out of fuel and had no heat during a cold spell. While the service to deliver oil and to get the burner working was excellent I should never be in a situation where I have no heat. It is just a matter of scheduling. The company has all the records and could make better use of them. And no, I don't want a computerized meter on my tank where the oil can be monitored remotely.

  Thanks for your review, Barbara and sorry for any dissatisfaction on behalf of our company. Traditional automatic delivery scheduling through use of degree day data is reliable for timing accurate deliveries throughout the industry. However, when it gets extremely cold, it is possible for fuel consumption to spike beyond those trajectories. It is rare, but it is possible. The only guarantee available in the industry today is an electronic gauge. If there is a spike in fuel consumption, our back office system will register that because an electric gauge will report the exact fuel level of the tank every day. I see that in your review you mentioned that you are not interested which is okay, but there is no monetary incentive in it for us, they are no cost to you; it's just to provide customers with a no run-out guarantee, which without it, us or any oil company can not truthfully offer with traditional scheduling. Beyond that, I will look up your account and look at additional strategies to provide more accurate deliveries. Best, Eric Sippin

  Jon K came this afternoon for the annual maintenance on the oil furnace and the hot water heater. Jon K is absolutely fabulous and is extremely experienced in this work. I trust Jon completely. I also appreciate how he is patient in answering my many questions. I strongly suggest that Sippin keep Jon happy, so that he stays at Sippin for many years to come!

  Great service. The technician, Caty, arrived on time, was courteous and very professional. She was very thorough with the boiler/burner tune up and did not rush through the service. I had explained a problem we were having recently with a noise during the burner startup and fuel ignition. She performed a thorough cleaning of the oil burner system and made the necessary adjustments so this problem should now be rectified. Highly knowledgeable and thorough. Professional service personnel like Caty is one of the reasons I like Sippin Energy.
