My attempts to schedule via telephone were a nightmare. Long wait and when someone from halfway across the world answered, I was asked unnecessary questions (with a view to being sold something else). After being told that Sears does not service the product I own (although Sears has worked on the same machine for many, many years) I was directed to another agent. That agent, after asking the same questions, gave me the same answer and I was told to call another number. But, the number given was exactly the same one I called to speak with that agent. I decided to try the website and I got the appointment immediately, without all the unnecessary questions and robotic script reading. The technician came and did a great job.

The technician came and said I should get a new washer. He quickly left having disconnected the current washer’s water supply and also left my washer covered in grease. Of course payment was due on the spot. I called and called and was told I would have to wait for the next available technician, a week later. I also called the technician’s phone but no response to my numerous messages. Poor workmanship and poor customer service .I have yet to hear from anyone.

Sears sent a third party vendor to service my refrigerator and inspect my other appliances that are under warrantee. The service technician did basic checks of the stove and washer and dryer. but when it was time to repair my refrigerator he informed me that he did not repair GE appliances which my refrigerator was. Why would you send a tech that couldn't work on the product you need to repair. The service was so bad it would take to long to display all the things that were wrong and my discuss. All I will say is I hope you don't need service from Sears in the future because they are no longer the company they once were. That's probably why they are closing all stores.
