      I will never call Sears Home Services for repairs again on all of my kitchen appliances. Nor will I buy any appliances (including laundry machines I bought 5 years ago) from Sears. $400 labor charge for a water valve change (for water flow to icemaker) is OUTRAGEOUS. I was told when setting up an appointment that a $150 diagnostic fee is the minimum cost. If labor & part(s) were including, the $150 diagnostic fee would be dropped. After being told the part was $104 (a slight $20 overcharge in comparison to the same part on Sears Direct) with the technician not telling me the labor cost to do the job… I assumed the job would cost around $200-$350. Nope… it cost me $511! The cheapest labor charge is $400. I would have been happy to just pay the $150 diagnostic fee, order the part, & do the repair myself to save me $250. After the job was done, I was surprised to see the cost. I called Sears services 3-4 times since then to request a $150 refund, which was denied. The receipt showed that the diagnostic fee was APPLIED with the Labor Cost at $400. I kept being told that it means the diagnostic fee wasn’t included. So much confusion… to just keep the extra $150 they promised to refund when I called to setup the appointment.

      I had a terrible experience with this company. They sent a technician who did not fix my appliance issue, and I was charged 272.11 dollars for less than one labor hour. I am also very dissatisfied with the customer service is because when I reached out for help they stated that I need to wait a week to send another technician for a diagnostic. It is funny that they were technicians available when I was purchasing the service, but no for 90 Day Service Guarantee. I believe that this treatment is unfair because I paid for an expensive service which I did not receive.

      Called them about a water line in my refrigerator. They ordered a new part, installed it poorly, the refrigerator water line seized up again, called them again, they charged me again to repair the line….guess what is seized up again. The part they installed has definitely worsened the situation. Would never recommend. Part 2 - I gave them another try. Scheduled an appointment, sat around all day, to have no one show up. Called dispatch. Was told, uh that appointment was cancelled. Second appointment, tech was supposed to be there between 8-5. He calls at 10 after 6 and says he is on the way. Arrives and tells me the refrigerator is unfixable. I am out $700 and frige is still broke. UPDATE - contacted as requested, never got a response.
