Not only was this company highly recommended on Chatty Woman on Facebook but I now Highly recommend Scott Walker’s myself. They came out instantly, did an overall assessment, gave us all available options. We got three other estimates and still decided to go with them because of their higher recommendation. What a Great choice we made, the parts came in on a Friday and my new system was installed on the following Monday. They kept in contact with me, providing us with any and all information, answered every questions we had honestly , very professional and polite. While the guys were working they kept Everything clean, kept my door closed for our animals sake and even waited around for my husband to get here so they could show us both how to properly work our new system. They took their time and treated us well! We are very please with this company and Highly recommend them for all to use. Affordable, friendly, honest and professional is all you want and that is what you get with Scott Walkers Heating and Air. We will use them from here on out and recommend that you do as well! My heating system was not working. Called and schedule appointment. They were on time and very professional. I needed a new heating unit. They gave the price and gave alternative to pay.

I contacted Scott Walker Heating and Air in late September 2021 to get an estimate for a new HVAC system for my home after researching Trane units.

Two of Scott's team members came to my home to provide an estimate for replacing my two, twenty-year-old 2.5-ton Rheem units (and coils and furnaces - basically a complete HVAC reinstall).

During their "inspection" one of the the technicians informed me that he would need to look at my furnaces in the attic. At this point I became a little hesitant because there is a large, yellow warning label on the attic staircase that clearly states a 250-pound weight limit, and I believed he might exceed this limit. Before he tried ascending the staircase, I clearly informed him that the stairs were not "super strong" (I really didn't know how to put it) and not designed to bear heavy loads. To wit, I then braced the underside of the staircase as he promptly ascended, even after my warning.

Once several stairs in flight, this gentleman had managed to produce a crack (loudly audible, and visually large) in the staircase - a feat that had not been accomplished in literally twenty years. Thankfully, I was bracing the underside of the stairs, with most if not all my strength, when the stairs began to loudly crack and tear apart. Immediately this gentleman began to violently shake and hold onto the stairs - to what appeared to be for dear life. At this point, I called out to his "assistant" to grab a ladder quickly before the entire staircase came down and seriously injured the man. After several minutes, the other technician produced a ladder, and with my assistance, we were able to safely deliver him down. At this point (with my least concern being the seriously damaged staircase) the safely delivered technician proceeded to take a seat on my nearby sofa and "complete my estimate". He then informed me that the "cheapest" option for me would be $18,000 (remember two 2.5-ton ac units, coils and furnaces).

After I informed him that I would have to think about it, I then asked him about my broken staircase. He appeared, to me at least, to be perplexed by my question and quickly replied that the staircase was damaged before he ascended it and, essentially, it was no fault of his. After a little back and forth chat on the matter, he told me that he would let Scott know and that they would "get back to me". Well, needless to say (my one-star review) - they didn't. Instead, I have had to call their office at least (no exaggeration) a dozen times. I was given Scott's personal cell phone number and spoke with him multiple times (and left multiple voicemails) about this issue and a solution for remedy. It has now been over fourteen weeks wherein I have repeatedly called the office, left multiple messages: both with the phone agent and voicemails. Left voicemails on Scott's personal cell phone line, spoken to him directly, texted him multiple times and asked repeatedly for some solution to the issue - I even offered to partially pay for the repairs - yet, Scott has consistently been unresponsive to all my messages, voicemails, texts, and general pleadings and has yet to initiate any kind of solution to my broken staircase. Ultimately, I've been left with, what I estimate will cost me at least $300 in repairs, an $18,000 estimate (the "cheap" option) and hours of lost time and energy trying to arrive at a solution (certainly before having to write a review like this. I genuinely do not like to write negative reviews and certainly don't want to spend my time and energy doing so but have been left with no other option).

So, would I recommend Scott Walker Heating and Air? Not if you have a staircase.

This review should not have been posted. We went to the house for a free estimate.  His staircase was already damaged when we got there. Now he wants us to replace it. I tried to work with him while dealing with several personal things including COVID and the death of my father. Some people just don’t have any patience and want it now. Lucky our tech didn’t get injured on that broken staircase. We have always had an outstanding reputation, and tried to work with this customer.

We just had Scott Walker Heating and Air install a new system in our home. Because the price is high for a new system, we got quotes from 6 other heating and air installers in the area. While Scott Walker is not the cheapest, it was evident after talking with Scott a few times that he has a superior level of experience and knowledge in this industry. The competition did not have the knowledge of their own systems to enable them to answer questions while Scott clearly knew the answer to these same questions.

On installation day, we had the privilege of having John Barton and Chase Copelan in our home to complete the installation. Both John and Chase were very professional and stopped to answer all my questions as they performed the installation. The two of them also found ways to improve upon my current configuration to improve the efficiency during installation. It took 2 days to get the entire system installed.

Now that the system is up and running, I am actually finding that I got an even better system than I expected. Scott spoke to me about how quiet the system would be when it was running. He was right, the system is quiet outside. I am even more impressed with how quiet the system is inside my home. I can't even tell when the system is running when I am in the room where the AC/heat is running.

To top it off, I have a zoned system with 4 different zones. My old system struggled to handle the zones. The new Trane System is handling each of the 4 zones great! Our old system had a hard time heating the zones when it was cold outside. This new system is not having that issue at all.

We purchased the:

- XC80
- Comfort Link II

I spent over a month talking with various companies that offered me quotes to perform this installation. I had them update their quotes and change them based on information I received from their competitors. At first, I was going to go with a company that I got a quote through a local Big Box store, but after talking multiple times with that company and with Scott, it was evident that the "savings" I would get from that company would likely not result in a better system. Scott was clearly a better option.

I can't over emphasize how happy I am with my new AC system!

Edited for new visit--- 4/13/2022 Scott walker sent out John and Alex this time. They were professional,on time and did a fantastic job! They fixed the issue and also mounted my new thermostat.and added a fuse where their should have been one but wasnt. They were great and i appreciated them so much! We will always call scott walker and you should too!

went out Friday evening..I couldn't get anyone out here ..Called these guys Saturday morning..Price was up front (ball park) showed up 45 mins after I called...I thought it would be the more expensive option ..it was actually the cheaper option ...I want to add they were alot cheaper than a few I called. Tom was very polite, fast and knowledgeable...He checked everything for me to make sure we wouldn't need to call again. He fixed it and I'm happy to say we have AC!! 10/10 Highly recommend 👌
