Mother-in-law purchased a dishwasher from R&B. A friendly staff person assisted us. Very knowledgeable and was able to quickly set up delivery and installation. She was extremely satisfied with the entire experience, including delivery and install.

Too much foolishness for full details but: 1. My gas range was not installed because the line they brought in the installation package I paid for was about 2 or 3 inches too short. My brother said he'd go and get the part so they dropped it off but didn't install. 2. As soon as my brother informed me, I text the delivery man and he never responded. I called my salesperson and he was not available but would return my call. Nothing. I called him again 6 hours later to be told he would call me back in a few minutes. Nope. The next day I waited to hear only to call again and he's off on Thursdays. 3. The salesperson who took my call on Thursday got snippy and put the blame on the "fact" that my gas line was not standard and not code because there was no shut off valve. Duke Energy had shut the gas off right there in front of me because there was a leak in the stove itself. She also said the gas connection HAD to be behind the range. I asked why they didn't mention that before I set up the installation and she said they had no way of knowing that. If it's standard, shouldn't it be standard to tell a customer before they pay for installation?? 4. Today's salesperson finally told me since my brother had purchased the part, they'll be back on Monday to install. This information would have been great at the beginning of the conversation. That would have been the entirity of the conversation. 5. I asked her couldn't they come sooner since I was expecting the install at a time I would have been home but that was changed. She proceeded to tell me I was lying and when I protested she said, "We'll see you Monday" and hung up. The 2 stars is based on my having faith that my pretty new stove will work great.

We have done business with R&B for 40 years since the days they were in the Greenhills Shopping Center having purchased countless appliances and used them for new HVAC and service issues. The furnace in my daughter's home was working fine, but had a bearing making a noise. The unit was purchased, installed and has always been serviced by R&B. The unit was due for service, so I had her call to schedule a routine clean and check/system tune-up. They told her they could come same-day, which she said was fine. Rather than their normal clean and check, they charged her $249 for a service call and didn't even clean and service the unit. The tech did identify the inducer motor was making a noise and quoted $895 to replace, but recommended replacing the furnace and sent quotes for $3800-$4500. The inducer motor cost $150 and took less than 10 minutes to have installed. Working like a champ. Has not been my usual experience with R&B, but certainly a disappointment.
