My husband and I haven't had any issues with this company. My only critique would be the tone of voice on the other end of the call. It feels like I am an inconvenience or annoy them. Either they get bombarded by rude people ordering oil, every day and it wears on them emotionally, or they could use some training on being more pleasant and kind... i.e. "Pickelner Oil, how may I help you?" instead of the following... "Pickelner oil..... *crickets*".... "I'd like to order some oil, how much is the price today? ....*crickets*...."*sigh* let me check..." *more silence and then finally, "$2.799, what do you want?" "100 gallons would be great!" "...Ok, we'll deliver tomorrow, check on the window?" "oh, thank you. Yep, a check will be on the window" "OK, bye" *click* Just absolutely robotic and no emotion/expression of appreciation for our business. I'd mark them 5stars if they were more kind, no hesitation (Because they haven't broken anything that we're aware of like the other reviews have mentioned)... it's their impersonal customer service when ordering that is a big turn off.

Thank you very much for letting us know about your recent experience of how we handled your call. We agree - the tone you described is certainly not the best way to show our appreciation to a valued customer. We are very happy to hear you were otherwise satisfied with our service. We most certainly will endeavor to improve and create a better experience for you and all of our customers. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention.

I called over the weekend for my elderly neighbor whose heat wasnt working. Needed a service tech to come check out his furnace. I very rudely was told I am "just a neighbor and they cant just send someone over to fix his furnace because I was not listed on his account." Meanwhile, this man has been a customer for decades. I explained my neighbor was an elderly demented man who has a live in caregiver and no other family besides myself. NEVER have I been treated so poorly by this woman who took my phone call. In temperatures when its freezing outside, she had zero compassion, was blantanly disrespectful to me and should absolutely not be in customer serivce. If you cannot find compassion in your heart for an elderly man who could have potentially froze, you should not be working for a heating provider!

Worst place to call for repairs!!! Left my house with damage. Rotted sub-flooring in my home. House had busted pipes when I bought it. No problem heat system was off and not leaking or being used. Like a idiot I just picked pickelners out of the phone book. They came and turned the unit on,found several leaks and "said" they fixed them all. Left the heat running because I thought everything was fixed and fine per there "professional" opinion . Charged me over 600$ , which is fine if they fixed it!! A week later I noticed a puddle of water in a room a rarely am in . In the exact spot they had said they "fixed" a leak. Come to find out it's not fixed and leaking into the sub-flooring. Pulled up the tiles and all the wood is wet and now is begging to rot . Called pickelners to fix it and tell them how they didn't fix it in the first place . Basically got the run around from everyone in the company and was told it was my fault for not calling them sooner . Oh I'm sporty next time I'll check the professionals work !! Why would I call you if I knew how to do it ??? Basically if you crap work and a ruined house ?? Call these guys
