  Pathetic service. Would give negative stars if I could. They use their maintenance plan customers to fit their needs and their schedules and cancel at their own whim, then make you fit their schedule even when they've backed out on you last minute. Rude and aggressive, even arrogant, customer "service" that should send any reasonable person looking elsewhere even for mediocre service which would be a HUGE improvement.

  They came over to service my AC and after the hosed off my outside condenser they left the water running. I didn't become aware of it until 6 hours later when my neighbor came over to ask why his backyard was flooded. I called Orangutan Home Services and they told me "it's only water" and hung up. Well as you can see in the picture, it's hundreds of gallons of water and my neighbors backyard is a lake! I would never recommend them to anyone.

  THIEVES! When I bought my house nearly 20 years ago I purchased a service contract with a company called American Home Maintenance and was overall satisfied with their level of service, in spite of numerous negative reviews. Since then, the company has gone through various iterations (to avoid legal problems?) and my experience with them has been a very mixed bag. One grubby-handed technician came by with his tweaker pal who talked my ear off. Others tried (sometimes with success) to sell me gizmos I probably didn't need. But the other day a so-called technician called Trevor Franco came for the scheduled winter check-up, and informed me I needed to replace my whole system, which is only 8 years old --the same one the last technician installed a costly gizmo on that he said would extend the life of the system by 7 or more years. He showed me photos of cracked compressors and the like to frighten me, said that I should replace the system immediately before it killed me with CO, etc. and suggested we do it the following day. When I told him that I was leaving town in the morning and wouldn't be able to schedule anything until the following week, he kept pushing to do it the next day. I should have seen a red flag flying, but scheduled it for several days later. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth, so I called another heating/refrigeration company (the more trustworthy company that installed it) to take a look at my system today and they assured me that it's FINE, and should last another ten years. I have cancelled the install, obviously, and have informed Orangutan I will no longer use their service --EVER. How do these people sleep at night?
