I installed 2 of the 20K btu units during my refit that went into service in 2007. Took 1 unit in 2 years ago for blower noise and Freon upgrade from R22. Both still work fine but thinking of replacing just because they have been in service for almost 15 years. I will use Ocean Breeze when I make that decision

I just had  the condenser installed.  They took such good care of me after another guy was trying to scam me.  The control panel is modern and wifi/smart home enabled.  The unit was a perfect drop in replacement.  They kept me informed of the build.  Expedited it for me because... they are real people.  This unit looks perfect and I am very happy with my experience.

Last year I bought two marine air conditioning systems for 17,000 dollars- one failed within 24 hours and the other within three weeks. When I brought this to their attention, before I could bring them to him to look himself, I was given a list of ways that I had caused the failure of brand-new systems including that they had failed due to being unused on the concrete floor of my garage despite how they were on the concrete floor of his warehouse when I picked them. It was ludicrous. I have decades of experience with marine maintenance and the man that installed them also has decades of experience with HVAC systems and is a trusted associate. They also said that the man who installed them had purposefully sabotaged them upon installation. That man that he said sabotaged them took the two old units that I bought the Ocean Breeze units to replace and rebuilt them at no cost and they’ve worked perfectly for the last six months. It was ridiculous, and shows this company’s ineptitude in both building air conditioning systems, and customer relations. When I brought the systems back to show them the problem, the owner used a Sawzall to destroy them, so I would not be able to dismantle them to use the actual working parts to create one working system. Do not give this company your time or money as it will be a total waste of both.

I have had a 16,000 BTU Ocean Breeze marine air conditioning unit in my boat since 2012. It has worked flawlessly and effectively the entire time, with minimal required maintenance or service.  In 2014, I added a marine refrigeration system and holding plate. I keep it running every day and, like the a/c system, it has worked flawlessly for years.  I have referred other powerboat and sailboat owners in my area to Ocean Breeze for various custom applications and the word back is that the product and service have always been first-rate. As a result, I am very satisfied with this company and their product. I give this longstanding player in the marine industry 5 stars.

Bought two units from them for split systems. They ran well for almost 3 years. The 16k unit had trouble keeping the salon below 78 in the summer. Just had a compressor failure, after looking at the part number, they put a 12k compressor in and sold it as a 16k unit. Pretty sure the extra 4k would have kept the boat cool, had they installed what they sold.

Great company. In my last boat they customized a unit to fit in my limited space. My current boat they helped me repair my old Dometic unit over the years then I finally bought a new 16k unit from them. works so much better and obvious quality components. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Bought 24000 BTU 110V unit a year ago. it has been working perfect. Great CFM for the money.

I was told by the elderly lady answering the phone , they dont need my business they have enough customers! What a rude lady to be telling that to a customer who just spent $2600. I told her that for the last two days my unit would be shipped at the end of the day. All I wanted was a accurate ship date.

By far one of the worst experiences that I have ever had in the marine industry which says a lot as I've been a Captain for over 30 years.    I have purchased several units from this company.  The last batch in April of 2016.   One of the two units purchased had a compressor failure last week during daytime weather reaching 100 degrees.    I called the company and was told IN WRITING by a member of the staff that the unit was out of warranty.   So he promptly sold me a new unit.   However after some research, their website clearly indicates a TWO YEAR warranty.    So, I did not have a need to buy a new unit when mine was under warranty.

I talked to the owner "Joe" and was told basically too bad.  I was welcome to send the unit back to him and he would decide if it was under warranty or not.   Yet again, the CLEALY STATED / PRINTED warranty indicates TWO YEARS.

This company ONLY cares about the sale and getting your money.   Post sale support is non existent and if you try for a warranty claim, good luck.

I strongly suggest that all boat owners AVOID THIS COMPANY at all costs.  The is not the way any company should conduct business.

Mr. Balentine is not entirely truthful.  However, he is correct in thinking that he had a two year warranty.  This is due to a mistake on our web site we were unaware of.  Our web site stated a two year warranty which was incorrect. (Up until about 2014 our vendors provided a two year warranty on major components such as compressors, evaporators, etc.  No longer).  However, Mr Balentine's invoice for his original purchase in April 2016 stated correctly a ONE YEAR WARRANTY.  He contacted us shortly after Hurricane Irma thinking that his a/c unit was still under warranty. He became upset when we told him that it was not.  We referred him to his invoice which stated current warranty terms of one year.  He pointed out to us our web site incorrectly stating that our warranty was two years.  Since we did indeed make a mistake we offered to repair his unit under warranty even though the year since purchase had passed.  However, he did not want to do this since he did not want to take the time to send the unit back to the factory per our warranty policy. He stated that he was without air conditioning and needed to get a unit up and running as soon as possible.  We sold him a new unit with discounted pricing. If he had returned the original unit we could have repaired it under warranty. It was especially important that the original unit be returned to the factory since Mr. Balentine's boat was located in Ft Lauderdale which took a direct hit from Hurricane Irma.  We needed to evaluate the extent of damage to the unit to see if it could even be repaired.  If Mr Balentine is so unhappy with our service and company he is welcome to return the unit for a full refund.  We have taken verbal personal abuse to the point of being bullied by Mr. Balentine, seldom (in fact, never) experienced to this extent in the 25 years we have been in business. No company personnel should ever have to take this extent of abuse.
