  After years of taking care of my mother's HVAC system, the service declined after she passed away. Rex Nelson may be a great guy and very skilled at his profession, but I am not impressed with his service team. Service Technician Bryce was sent to check out the system -- he diagnosed a pump problem, until my husband told him on the phone that it was probably the valve. It was, as verified by Rex. Change valve, filters, add freon r22 -- $900.00. When I questioned the 2-hr. service charge for Bryce, I was informed he was "very skilled" even though my husband did the diagnostics over the phone. Rex agreed to reduce the bill by one hour -- $85.00. This will be the last check I write to Nelson Heating & Air.
