As it turns out - McCall's Supply, Inc. doesn't want to do business with me because I haven't paid a fee to the local government for a meaningless piece of paper. I'm not a contractor and I don't want to be one, and I don't need a contractor either. McCall's has decided that they only do business with "licensed contractors" - they even refuse to tell the mundanes what the prices are. I assume it's a privately owned business, so they can do what ever shady & dishonest stuff they want in order to help prop up the price gouging of "licensed contractors" - I won't participate and I will never do business with anyone that sources materials from McCall's. I can buy just about anything they've got at McCall's at a place over on Dorchester, and if they don't have it - I'll order it on line. If your contractor does business with McCall's - they're probably gouging you on the price, so be warned.
