Outstanding Service! Nick came out and gave me the options and never tried to "sell" me on anything. Martin Heating and Air came recommended to me by a friend who is also a realtor and is very familiar with them, and they did not disappoint. 1 hour after the system was turned on, I had a huge smile on my face - it was the nicest it has felt in my home in since I bought it. I also have allergies, and today is the 1st time in a year that I haven't had to reach for a Kleenex. One look at the filter from just 24 hours and you can understand why. I can't believe what a difference in just 1 day. I usually write "reviews" because I expect quality and customer service, but this exceeded my expectations.

A tech came out from Martin Heat and Air the other day; he did a good job finding and correcting the issue. Service was fast. But looking at the bill of around $340 was a shock for a 15 minute job. Looking at the bill they charged $171 for a small part (Capacitor Dual Run) - in looking up the price on-line it could be purchased for $12.10. That's over 1400% price markup! Called in to complain about price gauging, and told them I'd pay $40 for it. They did not accept and offered to have a tech come out to get the part back but would charge another $80 service fee... said, "no thanks, I'll do it myself!". 5 minutes later the was part off and it was returned to avoid more fees from this company. Just flip off the breaker and take an image so you can re-hook-up the wires the same. The office personnel were not pleasant in doing the return, and tried justifying the 1400% markup commenting on labor and overhead. I told them it was a 2-5 minute job - which includes taking off the panel. Some comments on greed could be noted here, but we'll leave that up to you to decide. There was a time when a business owner could and would make an honest living on a 30 to 100% markup running a business... times are changing. If the business wants to comment, maybe you could also share yearly earnings; those of us making an honest living are generally making $10-$50 per hour.

On the diagnostic service call it states that the technician "will diagnose several repair options along with recommendations before we undertake any repairs"! Nothing was discussed with me regarding the "reprogramming of the thermostats"! I should have had the choice or option to refuse the reprogramming". That was an extra cost that I could have refused. The thermostats could have been removed by me and returned. $156.00 for that charge was outrageous! Not pleased! Also I meant to state earlier that after the tech left and we wanted to warm the house up with the heat turned on we still didn't get any heat out of the two units. It was still cool air! Wasted service call!
