On Wednesday September 8th I took my son to the ER because of an asthma attack. He had been to this ER before, admitted, and given breathing treatments 2 to 3 times prior, without an IV. On this day they did a chest X-ray and swabbed him through the nose 3 separate times and everything came back negative. They also wanted to draw blood for 2 or 3 different tests. The ER physician on call that night, very nice, suggested admitting him which I agreed to, and starting an IV which I did not agree to because he was admitted without it before. Shortly after that, Dr. Ann Bass comes into the ER room stall very unprofessional and very rude and says she could not admit him without starting an IV, and when I said he had been admitted before without one, she became angry. In that moment I questioned if she was competent of giving my son the care he needed and decided I would take him to Lubbock. Dr. Ann Bass called CPS and told them that she told me, “If you take your son out of here he could die”, which is an absolute lie. If any Dr told me that, I would most certainly say “Do what you have to do!”. Sounds to me like Dr. Ann Bass is trying to cover herself for not going ahead and admitting my son. This whole situation has been a nightmare for me and my wife, and hope that we never have to deal with Dr. Ann Bass ever again!

September 9 through September 20, 2020 I cannot say enough about our Littlefield home town hospital, Lamb Healthcare Center. My Mother spent 12 days in the hospital starting out at the ER. Everyone from the nurse to doctor on call in the ER was kind and compassionate. When admitted to the hospital, most of the staff, from CNA's to Charge Nurse knew my mother. There was never any unkind moments, they all served her with kindness to the very end. She passed away in the hospital, and I got to see her every day the last 12 days of her life which was more than I had seen her probably all year because of COVID. She lived in an assisted living facility. Never take any healthcare worker for granted. They work long, hard hours and are tired when they go home. They have your best interest at heart and only want to see the patient get better and the family happy. I would not hesitate to have any of my family or friends in Lamb Healthcare Center.

I have to say that the evening shift versus the graveyard shift night and day difference they're amazing people and do a wonderful job. I would come back on the evening shift to the ER anytime I needed to they treat their patients with respect and they treat their patients with kindness not that you would ever need to come into the ER but if you ever had to the evening shift does an amazing job.
