I don't write many reviews, but L.D. Swain & Son definitely earned these five stars. Our A/C wasn't working, which was the last thing my eight-months-pregnant wife needed, but Donald managed to fit me in ASAP (despite being totally booked for the next several days), and Shane and my guy Brandon quickly diagnosed the issue, ran a whole new wire through the house, and got our A/C up and running in no time. I'm a new homeowner, but I'm already realizing the value in working with local, family-run businesses like L.D. Swain & Son. They knew my pregnant wife wasn't going to be able to sleep in his hot house, so they showed some heart and made it work despite how busy they are. For quality work, great value, and awesome customer service, look no further. Thanks, guys. Mike

LD Swain and Son has been and continues to be of great customer service. Prompt response to all service calls. I have had the pleasure to have them service our church HVAC for the two years I have been Chair of the building committee and have had them install a brand new HVAC system in my own home. I truly recommend their services with no reservation what's so ever. Rick the owner represents his business extremely professional. Highly recommended. Saul.

LD Swain charged us $90 for a service call to fix their problematic air conditioner coil replacement which was still under warranty! We will never use them again. They installed our two HVAC systems in 2000 and have serviced them ever since. In Sept 2010, LD Swain had to do a $1,148 coil replacement on one of the units; we paid the bill promptly as usual. Nine months later, there was a problem with their installation; their worker fixed the problem right away and said that the repair was under warranty. We have since been invoiced for $90 for the service call. My husband wanted to discuss the problem with one of the owners but could not get past the woman who does the billing. She insists that the repair was under warranty but that the labor to make the service call was not. What she failed to understand is that, if they had done the coil replacement correctly to begin with, there would not have been a need for a service call! We will pay the $90 but will never use them again.
