After lightening, Gary Short diagnosed my system as unrepairable after about 10 minutes. He seemed honest so, needing it working, I engaged Ken's to replace my system. The ins company later sent their own tech to diagnose, but would not release their findings to me until later, after Ken's had already replaced it. The ins co tech (who took 2.5 hrs of testing) found my system could have been repaired with a fuse. This would hint that Gary was either incompetent or intentionally deceived me to get a sale. The ins co refused to pay my claim.

Called to inform them that my ac unit wasn't cooling anymore that was installed by them last fall. Explained the hissing noise and ice ball where the line set connects to outside condenser. When I finally got a hold of him after several attempts Gary said he would "be there" when I asked when I could expect him he said he "didn't know, might be a few days" I asked if we could get it fixed by Thursday afternoon because we have company coming to stay (today is Monday) he said "that's not my problem", I asked if he was going to stand behind his work (the work that he sent two teenage kids to do who weren't licensed HVAC installers, who put dirty hand prints all over my walls and who didn't have the right tools to do the job so they had to come back the next day). In my past experience with Gary he was friendly, I was shocked to be talked to in such a rude way, it was evident he couldn't care less. He was very Short with me on the phone. Knowing that I was not a priority whatsoever, I called Davids Heating and Cooling, I spoke to a friendly secretary and they scheduled a tech to come to our home the same day. 30 minutes later he was leaving having fixed the problem. I definitely recommend David's!

Very professional and great prices. AC went out and needed replaced ASAP, they put me on the schedule then provided window units at no extra charge till the installation day. The crew was very courteous and when a new part was found to be bad they quickly explained the situation and went out of their way to procure another one from Springfield. I couldn't be happier with my new AC!
