  Mark completed air sealing and put new insulation in our home. The insulation seems to work well, and the air sealing seems to have made some minor improvements, but nowhere near to the degree that was promised. Two different people stepped through the drywall in the attic leaving large holes in the ceiling that needed to be repaired. In fairness, he took care of that but it’s hard not to notice now. We woke up this morning with foggy windows throughout the home, something he said wouldn’t happen again. There was never a blower test done either before or after the work was completed despite me asking numerous times. Mark is well-meaning and nice, but the performance of the home hasn’t met our expectations, especially for such a significant price tag. I’m writing this review almost one year after the work was completed.

  Greenmark Home Performance aims for five stars in every situation. We are aware that the post blower door test has not been completed, and were awaiting customer availability. We have attempted to contact customer however customer had not returned our calls or emails.

  We had Mark at Greenmark come out first to perform a home energy audit to find out how we could improve our home's comfort and performance. he looked at every part of the home and performed a blower door test to study how air moves through the home. Afterwards he came back with a laundry list of potential improvements that would give us the most bang-for-the-buck in improving home comfort and performance. Next, we had Greenmark come back to air-seal and insulate our attic, rebuild our ridge vent that some past roofer installed incorrectly, open our soffits and install baffles so that air can move correctly through the attic, install a new bathroom exhaust fan, and vent both bathroom fan and range hood fan through the roof instead of inside the home/attic that past ones incorrectly were doing. After their work we have seen major improvements with the home maintaining a steady temperature for long periods of time. There is almost no difference in temperature now between our two floors and when the temperature is 32°F outside the heater only comes on maybe once ever 2 hours during the day. We have also noticed a significant reduction in dust in our old home's air that used to pick up whenever the wind blew heavily outside. Our old, 60's built home performs so well now that last night when the temperature outside was 37°F, we accidentally forgot to turn on our heater and the temperature in the house only dropped 4°F from 7:00pm to 9:00am the next morning.

  I live in Towne South Subdivision in South St. Louis County. My wife and I have always noticed cold air coming in the family room and one of the bedrooms. Since I recently decided to insulate the attached garage, I figured I'd have the attic topped off with some blown in insulation, also. I took several bids, including one from Mark Inman who is with Greenmark. Mark took the time to explain many interesting facts about insulation and the importance of air sealing a home. He had the best price, and I felt comfortable with his knowledge of home performance. Mark and crew showed up about a week later and got to work. Nice hardworking guys. I had my basement air sealed, my attic air sealed and insulated, and all exhaust fans vented to the outside (They had been vented into the attic). The fellas did a great job under Mark's personal direction. The difference in the house is incredible... even before they shot any insulation in, the air sealing made an enormous difference in warmth, all by itself. I expect to save around 25% on heating and cooling, maybe more. I also feel like I've done something good for the environment , decreasing my carbon footprint. Thanks Mark Inman and crew!! Great job!!
