  Last Feb 2022, Igor was dispatched for $75 to diagnose the cause of my heater's inability to stay lit beyond a minute or so. The flame sensor was fine and after he ran some diagnostics, told me he reset the furnace and that closed bedroom doors may have caused an over heating condition. Unhappy with the failed remedy, Igor returned with his son (business owner). After more diagnostics, they told me I needed to get a new thermostat and replace a weak motor capacitor. I followed their advice but still no improvement. They didn't want to come out a 3rd time because I refused to pay an additional $225 for them not getting it right the first time and then told me it was likely my evaporator coil needed cleaning. I then had a Costco Lennox representative come out for $65 and within 2 minutes advised me to just replace the upper limit switch. He went on to say it was a standard easy fix that any furnace tech should have known and there was nothing to suggest my evaporator coil needed service. For $17.00 on Amazon I replaced it and the system has worked fine since. The take away is beware. Igor is a nice guy and very punctual. Despite these guys work out of their house, I found there are better diagnostic techs out there that cost less. Hopefully you have a better experience.

  There are inconsistencies with your review. Your intentions were for us to diagnose all your issues so you could purchase your own parts to do the repair. After the initial service of the flame sensor, you did not reach out to us for several weeks when the on and off problem came back. We returned free of charge and I personally heard your control board relays clicking on and off due to your thermostat glitching. Additionally, the blower capacitor was 5mfd when it's 7.5 mfd on the sticker. Meaning it's weak and it causes the blower to overheat after some use. When I told you about these issues, I quoted you for the repair to which you replied "I can just buy parts myself." You asked us to show you where the capacitor inside of the furnace. You claim the Limit sensor solved your issue. That's a temporary fix because the limit is just a safety. When it gets hot (it stops the power and shuts off the furnace). The original limit went bad for a reason (overheating multiple times). I quoted the 225 for the replacement of the capacitor and the faulty thermostat which you declined because you stated you can get parts for cheaper; not a visit price as you claim in your review. You had multiple issues with your furnace. If you would have just replaced the limit, it wouldn't have fixed the problem because your blower would overheat and the thermostat would eventually destroy the control board. Seems though you wanted me to come out for the 3rd time for free and I'm not in business to cater to your DIY needs for the initial service fee. God bless and good luck.

  Our heater wasn’t working over the weekend and had called several places but some didn’t even call back or told us we had to wait until Monday. Oleg answered on a Sunday morning at 8am and was able to call his dad Igor out to take a look. Igor came to our house within an hour and half and replaced the sensor and pressure switch. We really appreciate the level of service and sense of urgency. He was professional and very knowledgeable.

  I live in an older home with aging appliances. Igor and Oleg have basically repaired, maintained or replaced every appliance in my house. Their knowledge, speed, and general ability to repair things is amazing. They are always punctual, if not early. I am so grateful to have a trust worthy technician. 5 stars are not nearly enough for GIV appliances. I 100% recommend them.
