Always a pleasure doing business with Gainesville Mechanical. They replaced my basement furnace and AC, and everything went as planned with no surprises. They are are always professional and take care of all of the details. Everything was cleaned up, new unit works great and they completed everything on time. Couldn't even tell they had been there when everything was done. Thanks!!

I hope this review can be used as a constructive feedback for Gainesville Mechanical based on my experience. First off, it’s great that they have an after hours service and call back! Someone contacted my shortly after my call when my heat went out and a tech came out the following day. To summarize my experience, the tech said he diagnosed a faulty part (limit switch) which would need to be ordered. I waited a week without heat for the part only to be advised that they received the wrong part and would be several days more to get the correct one in. No apology, other than the consolation that it would not be so cold outside. As being without heat was seriously becoming an issue, I was driven to look for the part myself and YouTube for guidance. Found the part and had it installed within 2 days. After further diagnosis, it turns out the part the tech determined as faulty was completely fine and it was a completely separate issue all together. When Gainesville Mechanical contacted me to advise the part finally came in, (days later) I explained I would not need their service any longer as the problem was fixed no thanks to their tech. I conveyed my disappointment in the misdiagnosis and delay in getting a part that I could easily get. The only response I received was “ok, thanks for the callback”. Again, no apology or any type of anything resembling customer service. I am willing to pay more if I get good service but in this case, their rates where a bit on the high range for service calls and really got sub-par everything in return. I believe they can certainly do better. Update: I did receive a call from Gainesville Mechanical after this review to discuss. In all fairness, they attempted to make things right after the missteps. Thank you!

Andrew Arrowood of Gainesville Mechanical saved our weekend again! He replaced our water heater in less than two hours on a Saturday! We’ve had him out for plumbing repairs in the past and we were so pleased he was who the company dispatched this time. We will definitely call Gainesville Mechanical for any future services.
