Excellent experience and top-notch service. I needed my 20+ year old furnace replaced along with a small, inefficient air conditioning unit. I asked friends and others who to work with and Elza Heating rose to the top. After my experience I can see why they come so highly recommended! From the initial call for a quote and site visit to the final steps of the installation Keith and his crew were responsive, professional, easy to work with and knowledgeable. At every step of the process they were engaged and responsive. The removal of the old units and the installation of the new was efficient and seamless. The new HVAC system is wonderful and was perfectly sized for my house and needs. Coming into the heating season I can already tell a difference in the quality and uniformity of the temperature throughout the house. If you are thinking about or looking to upgrade your HVAC system in the future I highly recommend Elza Heating Co. The quality of service and products, at competitive prices are hard to beat.

UPDATE: Within three hours after posting my initial review, Keith got in touch with me about my experience. He was apologetic about being incommunicado for so long and completely forthright about why - turns out that they have been utterly slammed with business, and I wasn't the only one who had difficulties getting a response. "We are so much better than the service or lack [there]of we have provided you with," he wrote, and I would definitely agree with that sentiment. After a bit more conversation following the holiday weekend, Keith and a tech came out first thing the next morning to take care of all the cleaning and maintenance that needed to be done. Keith was extremely generous with his time and answered all of the questions I had about what sort of upkeep I could do myself on my systems in great detail, down to providing me with the model numbers and other specific information necessary to source components and supplies such as fuses, filters, and cleaning/deodorizing solutions. We also took a look at the outbuilding-project and Keith provided a very fair estimate for a second mini-split system and a likely timetable for installation, all of which totally works for our project. I'm very pleased with Keith's responsiveness and honesty - two things that seem to be in increasingly short supply these days - and am glad to know that the folks who installed everything will continue to maintain them. Therefore, I wholeheartedly recommend using Elza Heating for all of your HVAC needs. ---- ORIGINAL REVIEW: I really enjoyed working with Keith and his team...until they stopped responding to inquiries from me. Here's the sequence of events: Last year I bought a home in the area for which Elza Heating had installed some of the HVAC systems, including an electric mini-boiler for a radiant heat system. In late March/early April, I had a problem with the boiler losing power; turns out that if you pull the (quasi-smart) thermostat from its mounting without removing power from the entire system first, it can fry a component in the boiler itself. Called Keith and explained the situation, he responded very quickly and courteously, and since the boiler was still under warranty my only cost was for Keith's time and travel. Lesson learned! In November, while having some renovation work done in the house, one of the contractors popped the thermostat without asking first, leading to a similar problem (no power to boiler). Called Keith again, we continued our conversation via e-mail, all good. This time he sent his helper, PJ, to check things out a few days later. After a short phone consult with Keith, PJ made a MacGyver-style fix by cannibalizing a fuse from the engine bay of his work-van to install in the boiler itself. Strange...but it worked, and the radiant heat system kept me nice and warm throughout a fairly frigid Wisconsin winter - in February 2021, we spent nearly two full weeks below zero. I never did get a bill for PJ's visit, though. Fast forward to this April: I e-mailed Keith to inquire about whether there's any outstanding charges from November to settle, seeking a few more details about PJ's unique fix (perhaps I should keep some spare fuses around just in case?), and to set up an appointment for some seasonal maintenance on my mini-split system. I got no response. I tried calling Keith three times to follow up - once in May and twice in June. No response. Finally, I e-mailed Keith one more time in mid-June, requesting the mini-split appointment again and seeking an estimate for the installation of another mini-split system in my garage/outbuilding. No response.
