  Helping us out of a tough situation Yesterday afternoon, after a leisurely walk along the Deschutes River to Benham Falls, we returned to discover that our automobile had been vandalized. Windows were smashed and one tire was punctured. I have access to two roadside assistance services, neither of which could come to our aid. As dark was approaching, it was getting cold and the thieves stole our extra jackets, I reached out to the Sheriffs office, knowing that they do have larger issues to address than a couple of elderly folks stuck in the woods. They were wonderful, and reassuring as they helped us get back safely to Bend. Can't say thanks enough to these dedicated civil servants.

  I'm gonna be compleatley honest here, I genuinely think all the sherifs have a legitimate mental disorder of some kind, they are overly angry, love to antagonize people, will out rite lie to your face even if the truth is standing infront of you, will lie about the dumbest most petty things like when a sherif told me pedestrians do NOT have the right of way when crossing a parking lot, they are usually so distracted by their phones, computers and radios to drive safely at any capacity, I dont think I've ever seen a sherif do the speed limit anywhere but they love to hand out speeding tickets just before they speed off for their break. Well generally they are just trash, even the bend police department officers I've spoken too have nothing good to say about the deschutes county sherif. My advice to you, avoid any form of interaction with these crooks at all costs because it will likely result in them lying just to give themselves something to ticket you for. They are crooks and nothing more, they need to be investigated at the federal level because likely all of them would be reprimanded for their behavior and attitudes. If you get stopped by one of these individuals then immediately request a local or state officer.

  Did a great job helping find my wife when she got lost. Deputies and 911 dispatch were professional, knowledgeable, kind, and friendly. Great job, saved what could have been a bad experience.
