  When I first spoke to Chilson they gave you that family run small company feel. After I spoke to them I explained the issues my tenants were experiencing. They convinced me into replacing the main incoming panel. The technician that was in charge of the project scheduled multiple times and didn’t show, my tenants took off work each time, pretty rude. Then finally the technician showed up replaced the outside main and did some other work at the same time. After their work was completed I ended up hiring another company Rawhide who came in got my inspections to pass. It’s unfortunate that I had to hire another company to fix the issues wanted to fix originally. I will continue to use Rawhide and I will not be using Chilson for any other work needed. I am deeply dissatisfied with Chilson never again for me.

  On a moments notice (and I do mean on a moments notice!), Mr. Chilson came to my home and completed necessary work for my new well and to re-wire my garage. He is not only competent in his work, but he is cleaner and neater than other electricians I have previously engaged...and he is a pleasant and personable man. I can, without any hesitation or reservation, recommend Chilson Electric.

  I've been with them for about 3 years. They've done pretty good on some electrical installations. I had LED light fixtures installed in my kitchen and a ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms. They have been doing maintenance work on our furnace/heatpump almost as long. The first year went pretty smooth. Last year I had to remind them to come out to service our furnace. I thought with us being under contract that they would be contacting us. Wound up with an somewhat spendy repair on my heat pump during the hottest part of the summer. Somehow the coolant drained from my heat pump. Paid a lot to have them do a trace for a leak and there was none. Paid another $20.00 for them to put a lock on so that no one could come along and drain my coolant. I gotta give them credit though. They were busy with the hot weather spell and they took care of me quickly and got the cool air blowing again. Well, it's been a year since we did our last contract and again I guess I need to remind them to come out. It's that or I crawl up around the attic to change the furnace filter. I'll be calling or emailing them in the next day or so. They do pretty good work and they do explain things. I've had work done by both Dave, the owner and now we have one of his tech's that does most of the work. I think their two year service contracts are about the usual normal rate. I have special sized filters that I get on my own because I can buy them cheaper online. Other than that, we've been pretty happy with their work over all. I'll be happy just as long as they keep my furnace and heat pump running smooth. So far...so good.
