Brandon installed a new air conditioning unit in our home about three years ago. At that time, they also installed a new thermostat. Recently, our furnace went out. We called Brandon, and a technician came out. After taking a significant amount of time to diagnose the problem, he stated it was a malfunction of the thermostat. He made a repair, but also suggested that an electrician should come out to check on the work, which cost us an additional service call that turned out to be unnecessary. As soon as the Brandon technician left, the exhaust flue pipe of the furnace started to leak. When I called Brandon to inform them of this, they refused to accept responsibility, saying the repair was not related. I suggested that the repair was necessary in the first place because of their faulty thermostat, and also that something other than the repair that the technician had done during his lengthy visit had caused the leak. This was not accepted at all. Brandon refused any responsibility. Think twice before using this company. They may solve one problem and just cause another.

    Response from the owner

Installation of new air conditioning unit and thermostat took place on 6/7/2017. Customer has not requested service or maintenance of any kind since installation date. Technician was called for Emergency Overtime Service due to no heat on Saturday November 13, 2021. Technician diagnosed a wiring fault, not a thermostat malfunction. Technician advised customer that new wire was needed for the thermostat to the furnace. Technician could run new wire at that time but customer declined stating they would use their own electrician. Technician performed temporary fix while at the home to ensure the furnace would continue to operate without fault until wiring was replaced. Customer incurred unnecessary expense from electrician because they neglected to inform electrician that a temporary fix had been put in place until the wire was replaced. Diagnosis of faulty wire was clearly stated on Service Invoice provided to customer at 11/13/21 service call. Electrician checked voltage and found no issues due to the temporary fix, which is why no work was performed by electrician. When customer called to report flue pipe leak, Brandon Heating suggested that it was highly unlikely that the leak was a result of our service call. We agreed to return to the home to look at flue and if the leak was NOT caused by our error, the customer would incur a diagnostic charge and a quote for repair. Customer declined insisting that there was no other possible cause for the flue leak except our service call. We were not permitted to return to investigate so we cannot accurately state that we were at fault as the customer has requested. As stated in the response to the Angi complain/1-star review: **Brandon Heating has made every effort to correct the perceived “disingenuous, irresponsible, coincidental, accidental” errors caused during our service call. Customer declined offers for service multiple times, provided electrician with incorrect diagnosis and solution, costing them $100, contacted another HVAC company for service of which they most certainly incurred additional, unnecessary costs – some of which Brandon Heating was willing to reimburse but with no communication we cannot be expected to have fulfilled that agreement. Customer stated several times during service call and in communications after service call that he was dissatisfied with the overtime service rate. We do understand that an overtime rate for service is not appealing however, when a business offers 24/7 service, anything outside standard business hours comes at an increased cost. Customers certainly have the right to deny an overtime call and defer service to the next business day. In this case, the service call was requested by the customer at the increased overtime rate** Note: - Customer filed complaint with BBB 1/4/22. Customer dissatisfied with Brandon Heating response. BBB closing case remarks: “Though, the consumer indicated they are not satisfied BBB has determined your company addressed the issues within the complaint.” - Customer filed complaint/1-star review with Angi 1/16/22. Brandon Heating has responded to review with facts related to service call.

I am changing my review after a in depth conversation with the owner of the company who has given me his word that he will do what is necessary to fix the intermittent issue I have. A couple weeks ago, a technician was send out to try and reproduce the issue but was unsuccessful. The follow up conversation that I had with the owner has reassured me that Brandon will support their installation and continue to follow up with me until the issue is resolved. Because of this effort, I am giving them a 5 star rating because many companies would not go to this effort to support their product. Brandon really does seem to care about their clients...

Our 23 year old furnace stopped working - Brandon heating was quick to get someone out to diagnose and to provide an estimate. Surprisingly, the estimate for a new furnace plus labor was less than what I thought so I was very pleased. Install was quick and the employees were friendly and professional. Highly recommend. Will be using them to replace A/C when that kicks the bucket.

    Response from the owner

Thank you Sarah! We are happy to have been able to provide great service along with a great price! We appreciate your business!
