I’ve recommended Bob's Repair to many of my clients with their solar projects. All of them have been pleased with both service and pricing, but up until now, I had no direct experience with them. A few weeks ago, my 1997 era Heater/AC started making some really scary noises and conked out. I called Matt (the estimator at Bob's). He had a tech over the next morning. They got the heater working again, but because of the age of the unit, I decided to bite the bullet and proactively replace it before the summer heat hits. An AC this old is seriously on borrowed time and likely to fail.... in August... at 2pm when it's 122 degrees! I just did not want to deal with that stress. (I'd rather save up my favors for my customers who might need an emergency AC call this summer instead of using the goodwill I've built up with Bob's on my own needs.) Miguel and his team arrived on time. They put on booties without being asked and worked quickly and efficiently. They taped plastic sheeting down where they worked and left my home as tidy as they found it. They even changed an air filter I didn't know I had. The new heater and AC work perfectly. I'm so relieved to have the anxiety of a possible AC failure this summer off my back! I'll continue to recommend Bob's to my customers after my own flawless experience with their install.

I called to set up an appointment and found that they were in the area today and they were able to come by within an hour. Robert, the technician, was on time and very respectful of my home. I had my old thermostat replaced with a new one. It had been acting up since last year. I asked him to also inspect my A/C unit and he found my capacitor needed to be replaced. Robert showed me on the meter what my old capacitor read and he showed me what the new capacitor read. My technician was very thorough and took the time to explain everything that he was doing. The service that was done today save me from having my unit go out in the middle of summer. I am extremely happy with the service, the cost and I will definitely refer Bob’s Repair to others.

Got an initial diagnostic from this company for a heating issue. The tech Robert was polite, clean, and professional the whole time. He was very good at explaining the problem and what was needed to fix it. The company was very responsive at my initial inquiry for setting up the diagnostic appointment. My main problem with this company was that after the tech diagnosed the issue, I was then charged a $49 diagnostic fee, which was at no point mentioned during scheduling or setup. Had I known this fee existed, I would’ve looked elsewhere for an initial diagnosis & price quote. I would recommend other customers be aware of this charge going in, and for Bob’s Repair, try being upfront with your customers about fee structures first. I respond better to honesty.

It is company policy to charge the diagnostic fee unless there is a repair being done, at which point the diagnostic fee is waived.
