  Stopped here because our place to stay in Houghton fell through! Pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and clean room! We stopped into the hotel restaurant for dinner. The menu is simple but the food was amazing! Excellent fried pickles, and the best fries I’ve had in a long time! Our server Caroline was wonderful!!!

  I did not have high expectations for my stay here, but I was VERY pleasantly surprised. The woman working the desk in the evening was wonderful, so pleasant and helpful! Then I found the room to be very clean - I have a habit of cleaning every hotel room when I arrive (I travel with Clorox wipes for this purpose). I wipe remotes, switches, handles, faucet, all flat surfaces, etc... this room was CLEAN as evidenced by the lack of grime on the wipes! We checked in after dark so couldn't appreciate the lake view from our room then, but the sunrise in the morning was stunning. I also recommend keeping lakeside curtains open - the view of L'Anse across the bay during the night was lovely. My son also enjoyed his massive omelet. For the record, from this hotel to Michigan Tech was an easy drive, only about 30 minutes - a nice place to stay and a great bargain.

  We always stay here summer or winter. Such a freindly place with everything you need. Beautiful location your on bay and always clean and very accommodating. Loved our stay as always.
