  I give Austin's Heating and Cooling my highest recommendation! I had been having trouble with my old heating system and of course it always happened when it's cold and snowing! Just one month earlier, I had called another company to come out and they said everything was fine. When it went off again, I called Austin's. They did a thorough diagnosis and got my heat going again. When I decided to replace my old unit, they did an excellent job at a reasonable price. I feel confident that if I have any further problems, they will be there to help me out. This is the advantage of going with a local, family-owned business. I feel like they know me and they care about making sure that I am safe and comfortable living here in the mountains.

  Wow! During the heat of summer last year, one of our AC units went out and we called our local company to help us figure out what was wrong. They told us we needed a new unit. We wanted to schedule to have it replaced and they told us it would be late September before they could replace it. We could not wait three months so we called another company who made it a priority to get a new unit in for us. We have been loyal patrons of Austin Heating & Cooling since we became homeowners in NC. So naturally we called them when our second unit stopped blowing heat. I was told by Amy that they will not service our house anymore and that I should call the other company to service our home now. I was blown away. I tried to explain that they, Austin’s, wanted us to buy window AC’s until they could get to us. We did buy window units and then they told us it would be at least 3 mo the before they could fit us in the schedule. I suppose they don’t need any more business but if they continue to treat customers the way I was just treated, there will be a day when more business is needed.

  We're sorry to hear about your experience and are glad you found someone to replace your upstairs system sooner than we were able to schedule it. We appreciate your business in the past and always try to do what we feel is in our clients' best interests. This is why we recommended that you contact your new service provider to respond to your call for repair of the other older system, as it may also need to be replaced. We have found using one company for your HVAC systems is less complicated for both you and them.

  We called Austin Heating and Cooling on a Thursday afternoon when we returned from vacation to find our AC unit was not functioning properly. The owner himself was here the next morning by 8:30. He had our unit back up and running in less than an hour. I highly recommend this company for your heating and cooling needs!
