Last night, our ac panel went out. We called this company to come out and they were able to send someone out first thing this morning. The technician arrived around 9 and was masked and very respectful. My husband remained with him during his work. My husband and I both are very handy folks, but we know when to step back and allow the pros to do their job. As the technician performed his inspection (which we were informed on the phone that the cost of his inspection alone was $99 and we were okay with that), he determined within ten mins of looking at our unit that the reason for the issue with the panel was a blown fuse. The fuse, much like a large battery, was dead and needed to be replaced. He took out a fuse, replaced it and everything was back to normal. My husband asked him how much would it be for the fuse, and the technician stated that fuse was a very experienced fuse and with its installation, the cost would be $350 ($100 for inspection and $250 for the fuse plus labor). Seriously, all work done within 30 mins of his arrival. But when we asked about the breakdown of the $250, the tech stated that the labor cost (the 250, not the 100) included the inspection. What? We are already paying $100 for the inspection and another cost for the same inspection? No. The cost did not make sense. I understand making a profit from labor and supplies, but the fuse they wanted to use was literally a $20 fuse. So we asked him to remove the fuse, and we would only pay for the inspection, since technically, we did not ask him to proceed with the work. He removed it and stated if it messed up again, we were not allowed to call his company. And that’s fine as well. I’m highly disappointed. Also, they consistently mention the concept of “premium service”. This is a facade. They provided the same service you would receive from any other technician and the same service we have received from techs in the past, if not below. The actual tech guy, although he knew his job well and was respectful in our home, did not understand how the pricing was broken down and did not help ease our concerns when it came to why the cost was $350 for a $20 (actually $12 at lowes) fuse and 30 mins of work. So all “premium service” terminology out the way, I will say this to conclude: we are a military family and will be sure to tell other military members know they are not going to be authentic in their “premium service”, and therefore should not be called or used due to excessive overpricing. There was no red carpet, no wonderful treatment and the pricing is exaggerated beyond any other company in our area. If you can do it with someone else, do it. And if you see the term “premium service” as part of a company’s mission or motto, stay away if you have higher expectations. If you just want the job done, and done fast, and don’t care about the cost, def go with these guys. Again, the tech was alright but the policy behind what he asserted and the costs are what will prevent us from returning. The two stars are literally for the tech coming fast and working fast. Don’t worry ARS, we won’t “allow” ourselves or anyone we know to use this service without knowing how much a rip off this experience could have been.

My water heater went down after 24yrs of service. ARS wall called to address the problem but after the assessment and the years of service for the water heater they convinced me it was worth going for a new one. Their logic made sense and they gave me a good quote and as soon as I approved it the water heater was changed out. Excellent service and very professional team.

We called ARS with a push from our son who recently was hired. He knew we had multiple issues with our unit. We called and the next day Gary came out and diagnosed the issue very quickly. Gary was knowledgeable as well as professional. The next day John Dove and his trainee Alex came and gave us options which was a plus to us !We decided on a new Heating/AC unit. The professionalism we received was top notch !! The next day installers Jude & Tywone arrived on time and yet again professional. They took extra steps to keep our home clean when removing the old unit and through out the whole process. They both showed extreme knowledge and professionalism for their work. We also got the Nest thermostat which we love and again they both explained everything on how to work it. Overall we are very very pleased with the whole process !
