Needed an immediate response to repair my heating system during a winter storm. They sent Jason out to do the repair and within hours, I had heat again. Jason also explained the problem with my system, and helped me understand how to use it most efficiently during the cold snap. I appreciated the responsiveness and professionalism. Many thanks.

It took 55 days to repair my air conditioner. I filed a claim with my home warranty company on June 3rd. Jason from America's Contracting Services came out on June 4th to diagnose our system. I called to get an update on June 8th and my phone call went straight to voicemail, the message said that the mail box was full. This was a common occurrence, the phone was never answered and the mailbox was always full. When I finally received a return call later that evening I was told that we had two options, repair or replacement. I was also told that the non-covered costs would be about $1,000 for repair or $3,000 for repair. Jason also told me that the repair would take longer than the replacement due to the extensive leak testing required for repair. I gave him the go ahead with replacement on June 9th. I heard nothing from the warranty company or Jason until June 16th, despite several texts requesting an update. Jason came to my home on June 17th to recover the remaining refrigerant from my system and remove the condensing unit and evaporator coil from the system. On June 21, I asked for an update on our repairs and heard nothing. I tried contacting him again on July 9th because the the warranty company contacted me and told me that the parts were due to at the supplier and would be ready for pickup. Nothing from Jason. I was informed by the warranty company that the supplier had receive the wrong evaporator coil on July 12th. Another coil was ordered with an expected arrival of July 16th. I contacted Jason on July 16th, no answer. On July 19 the warranty company told me that the parts were waiting to be picked up so I texted Jason again. No answer. July 20th texted to inform him that parts were at supplier. Jason responded with several rude comments to tell me that the parts weren't ready. July 21st Jason called to inform me that the coil was wrong again. Coil reordered again, arrived at supplier July 26th. Receive call from Jason on July 27th to schedule install on July 28th. I was told before they could begin work they required a $2,000 deposit. California law limits deposits to licensed contractors to $1,000.00 or 10% of the total contract price, whichever is less. I could never recommend this company to anyone. Very rude and unprofessional. The non-covered expenses were priced at ridiculous amounts. When I asked the owner of the company for a discount I was basically threatened that if I didn't pay the remaining balance in full that they would not pay for the inspection, and I would not be able to sell my house. In your response you did not address the concerns that ARE under your control. Like no communication, rude comments, and threats. Or the technician in you employ that seems to generate a large number of negative reviews. How about the fact that four of the earthquake straps pictured below cost $250.00. Or $850.00 to modify the existing drain pan and two PVC drains? Or how about $600.00 for a building permit that the county charges $110.00 for? I had to demand that you send an itemized receipt that you never provided before the start of work. I asked for a discount from you when I was actually presented with that itemized receipt. I paid your invoice, in full the same day that you said no, The work was completed on 7/27, you were paid in full of 7/31. All $3,230.00, which did not include the major components that were paid for by the warranty company.

      Response from the owner

I understand your concerns and I find them to be valid as well. Unfortunately due to covid restrictions during these times, it has slowed down the speed at which A/C units arrive. We have been told that many of the factories shipping these units are under staffed. So sometimes it takes a while before the replacement equipment arrives. We do not have any control over any of the parts being ordered or shipped through your warranty company. Not only is it a hassle for you, it is also a hassle for us. Sometimes the warranty company has the wrong items sent, sometimes the shipping partners ship the wrong parts. Then after weeks in transit we go to pick up the parts and notice all the model numbers are incorrect, and sometimes the unit arrives damaged. In your case, the parts were for the wrong size unit. A 3 ton unit arrived when your house size required a 4 ton. At that point we had to reject the order. Call it in and tell the warranty company it was the wrong item. And for some reason, they cannot order the correct one until the incorrect one is sent back. This is just how the manufacturer does this through the warranty company. We only know this because we ask why everything takes so long. These are just some of the things we are told. The main thing being a backorder on their supplies due to lack of workers at the manufacturing facilities where they order their units from, which is also a separate company from us and the home warranty company. When we buy units for our customers outside of the home warranty, we just pick them up in person on the same day if needed. Or a few days if we have to order something special. As you can see, 100% of complaints here on Google are from home warranty company customers. Their complaints are all related to time based repairs. As there is a lot of delay in service between home warranties and repairs. Once a home warranty customer agrees to the work being performed through their home warranty company, we are then contracted through the warranty company to complete the work. It was unfortunate that after we completed the work that you then held payment due to concerns never mentioned previously. For anyone else who reads this, if you have concerns about your home warranty repairs, please bring those concerns up prior to payment agreements. So those concerns can be addressed before any work is started and especially completed! Please don’t bring up un mentioned concerns after we complete work and are expecting payment and then refuse to pay. Dishonesty is not how we want to do business with anyone.

Yesterday July 21 my ac went out. Using my home warranty services I was given this company authorized for repairs. I am blanking on his name but he was extremely knowledgeable and very professional. They came out and repaired everything and also found some preventative maintenance repairs that needed to be done as well. I can't thank you guys enough. I highly recommend this company for any and all HVAV repairs! Seamless transaction
