Had a issue with our in floor heating line freezing up. Called to make an appointment. Left a message with the company in the morning with what all the issues were and that message never got to the tech. Showed up and didn't have the correct supplies to perform the work. Asked when the were going to be back and he could not give us an answer. We waited 48 hours and never heard from them. We then called and no one answered so we left a message at 10am and it was now below zero and they never called us back the entire day. I finally called them at 430pm and advised they would never get our business again.

Terrible experience! This company charged 439.00 for a part that cost 86.00. When I called to go over my bill the lady asked me if I was trying to weezel my way out of paying. I would never recommend this company to anyone, I was talking about them with other people at work and kind of the same reaction. The guy who came to my house was great, but the lady who answered the phone was rude and I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this company.

The team at Al Byers has served us very well. Jim McCue recommended a replacement furnace and added central air to our house and the price was very competitive. The installation went very well and I was impressed by the workmanship, attention to detail, and follow up. Because the unit was installed in the winter, they scheduled a visit in the spring to test the air conditioning feature of the system. Wow, they even thought of that! All checked out fine and was working. During the hot part of the summer, the unit started blowing a small fuse. They quickly sent out a service tech and diagnosed the problem. There was a faulty electronic part and a small freon leak. The tech (Jud - he was wonderful) promptly fixed the issues and assured me that it would be covered under warranty. I got a bill for the repairs but contacted Lynette at the company. She passed it along to Jim and he they said that they'd take care of it and that I had gotten billed by mistake. True to their word, the invoice was cancelled and they even came back out for a few small fixes - to reroute the condensation line to drain outside the home and patched up a part of the ductwork that had started to rust from water dripping on it. Talk about going the extra mile! I can't say enough good things about the Al Byers company. I never expect things to go perfect in this imperfect world, but I certainly do appreciate when a company stands behind their name. You can trust Jim McCue and his company Al Byers to do great work and be there for the long run. They make a customer for life!
