  They have done repair, service and recently replace my heat pump The price has always been competitive. Service has been quick. The issues have all been fixed. Will use them again when it comes time to replace my other unit.

  I know all people cannot have good experiences. We have been using Air Service for close to 19 years. They have always been excellent and very customer oriented. For example: I had major surgery in August. The a/c unit went out the day I was to return home @ 95 degrees. In two days they had a new unit in. The old heat pump was 30+ years old. Anyway, I never had to call them back for any reason after service calls twice a year. Duane, his son and others are very sincere.

  "Dishonest and insulting" is a good summary of my overall impression of Air Service. Three different people independently recommended them to me, so I figure they gotta be good, right? I was also told to specifically ask for Duane, the owner. So I call them and the office lady (Duane's wife) sets the appointment. She's bossy and pushy and I'm thinking "Huh?? No, I'm hiring YOU. I'm the one who gets to bark orders." She says nothing about Duane one way or the other. On the appointed day it's not Duane making the call but their kid Wayne, the ADHD case from hell. If he were not their kid, there is NO WAY he would have a job doing anything like this. I told the wife I wanted my two central air units and furnace thoroughly checked out because they haven't been used in 12 years. This is not what ADHD boy does. He just starts the units right up and charges them, doesn't inspect nuthin, doesn't set foot anywhere near the furnace, tells me "well it's summer. You don't want to run your furnace in the summer, do you?" He's actually borderline combative as he says this, which was typical of his behavior in general. Next he bills me for four pounds of R22 at SIXTY DOLLARS A POUND. First of all, there is NO WAY he really went through four pounds. Second, this is a FIVE HUNDRED PERCENT mark-up for that refrigerant (2014 price, when this work was done). I don't mind paying a fair labor rate, but this R22 charge makes the "materials" part of their bill outright robbery. I don't see why anybody should tolerate it. Like I said, dishonest and insulting. This hideous experience made me decide to do the furnace work myself. If they'd been good, they'd have gotten lots of work from me, but instead they sucked so they cheated themselves out of ever seeing my money again, AND they earned this negative review on Google. Smart move Duane, Theresa, Wayne.
