A few years ago, I had a new air conditioner and air handler installed by Air Care Plus. The owner, Vinny is professional and has a great team. If his team is unavailable, he will come out and handle the problem. They offer outstanding customer service and will work around your schedule to get things installed or replaced. Today, I had a contactor internally short and a technician Ryan came to fix it. He was very professional and was able to diagnose and repair the problem quickly. I will continue to be a customer and recommend that everyone use them.

I posted an accurate but negative review yesterday. They had not shown up for an appt. as scheduled and didn't answer the phone. I was disappointed and even said this was uncharacteristic for them. Later that afternoon I got a call from Vinnie, the Owner. Like so many biz owners these days, getting good admin help is a challenge for him as well. The new admin had not put my appt. in the schedule (or even showed up for work that day). As he always does, Vinnie made it right. Vinnie's crew are here today completing the repair (it wasn't too simple). This is much more like the experience I am used to with Air Care Plus. They have installed new systems on my house as well as my friends and family. They are my "go-to" guys for anything HVAC related. I'm posting this updated review based on my direct experience.

I hired this company because of their excellent google rating and decent price. I was quoted $3600 to have a 2 ton unit installed and replaced where my old unit was. 3 guys showed up at 9am and began working on the job. After a few hours went by, the outside unit had been replaced however in the meantime one of the workers accidentally loosened a wire to my other operable unit (upstairs unit) and that stopped working. The house started to get hotter and hotter as the day went by. I told the guys it wasn’t working and they said they would get it working soon. Next thing I knew, 2 guys left and the remaining guy was a service technician who had never done an install by himself before. So after 4 hours I had no A/C working at all and was left with a brand new service tech. I had emphasized to the lone service tech that I needed at least the upstairs A/C working and he had stated that he would get on it after the new A/C (downstairs) was installed because it would be quicker. After another 4 hours, neither the downstairs unit nor upstairs unit was working. At around 5pm a different guy showed up for backup. The job was finished around 6pm (as the workers said they were finished) and I observed the work and noticed that air was leaking tremendously out of the outtake plenum end of the air handler. In addition, the drain line was tied to the pan drain line, which was fine, however it was sloped so the water would fill the drain pan and not go out the drain line. Not only was this drain line incorrect but the other units drain line had to be cut to install the new unit and when they put the drain line back together they didn’t glue it so it was leaking. It not only leaked but it was leaking on top of an electrical breaker box and also leaked so much it came through the downstairs ceiling. I called Vinnie at this point and he stated that since the workers haven’t called him to tell him that they are finished that I can’t “nitpick their work.” So not only did I receive subpar work but I was told by the OWNER to not nitpick their work because they weren’t finished even though they told me they were finished. This install occurred a couple weeks ago and just the other day I noticed water coming through my ceiling again. I went up there to find ANOTHER drain line pipe (on the new unit) that wasn’t glued. Not only was it not glued but there wasn’t even enough exposed pipe to securely attach a coupling. At this point I was so fed up with this company that I didn’t bother calling and fixed it myself. Moral of the story is pay the extra few hundred dollars and take your business elsewhere. This company proved not only to have terrible customer service but also didn’t have the expertise. The pictures are of the first leak (which soaked the plywood subfloor and leaked through the ceiling and got wet the electrical breaker box) and the other picture is the most recent cause of water coming through my ceiling. Save yourself the headache. Don’t hire this company.
