Used Advantage for both heating and plumbing on new construction(modular) and I regret both. The issues are so numerous to list them all but here is a few. No project oversight and very very poor communication. Plumbers barely communicated with HVAC and they work for the same company. I pretty much always had to harass the owner for updates which he rarely gave me straight answers. They spent 4+ days trying to get a propane furnace going in the middle of the winter which I never got a clear answer on why but I believe it was the NG propane to pressure settings. The HVAC techs(except Jesse) were horrendous, couldn’t answer any questions and didn’t seem qualified to do the job. The house size was increased 2 months before install and Advantage was notified via email and phone of the change. They increased the size of the heat pump evap coil to a 3 ton but still installed a 2 ton compressor now the unit is undersized firreally hot and cold days. Notified the owner of the mistake and after a lot of discussion he said he would make it right but then once again just ghosted us so my last straw is leaving negative reviews which I really hate doing. I’ll leave you with a laundry list of issues: Let furnace condensate pump leak all over floor overnight, installed plastic PEX fittings and unnecessary splices throughout the house which resulted in severe flow restrictions, drilled a 3” hole through the floor joists to run a 3/4” pex line, no bypass around water filters, let sediment filter clean out drain onto floor, unsafe W/H pressure relief valve, exterior water shutoff inaccessible due to HVAC equipment, hooked up the HRV intake/exhaust backwards, installed wrong HRV control, sold me a Thermolec plenum heater that I had to hire a separate electrician to hook it up(high and low voltage), low airflow to several key vents in the house, didn’t foil tape any of the seams until I complained and I still had to do a bunch myself, the list really goes on and on but I’m getting upset thinking about the HVAC headaches I will likely have in the future and the rework that I need to do on the plumbing to get rid of the flow restrictions. We feel taken advantage of as we have to place some degree of trust in the experts to do what is right and this company fell very short of that bar. At the end of the day the owner tried to charge me thousands more because “he lost money” on the job and I had to go back through everything and explain that if he lost money it was because of incompetence and lack of oversight/expertise, not because of the job was under bid. No kidding HVAC might have had twice the labor costs had everything been done correctly the first time. Update: 1/3/22 Thermolec plenum heater duct temp sensor failed after 8 months causing no supplemental heat. Called the manufacturer and they will only do a warranty replacement of the sensor through the installer. Called AA today notifying them of the failed part and requesting warranty service. Awaiting for them to send a tech out.

Very pleased with Joe and his team. A new air conditioner was fully installed and additional work on my heating system was update. The estimate was completed a very timely manner. They were very professional to work with and I have no complaints with the fees, very fair. I'd highly recommend.
