  Edit: 3/11/2022 Updating my rating as the company fixed the drywall that was cut out during the panel installation. Happy with the crew they sent out from "Aztec Services" they did a great job. Just ok service that was overpriced. We had an electrician out here to replace the electrical panel in our house as the one we had previously was not up to code. Although the technician was on time and very personable I ended up unhappy with the service. The tech cut into the drywall stating it was necessary to get the new panel in; but its the same size as the the current one so not sure how that adds up. Now I have a very ugly wall that I will need to get repaired. I paid almost $4,000 for them to fix the electrical issue, but leave me with another problem that I will now need to pay to have fixed. Will not be using their services again.

  Abacus was the only company that I could find on the first Monday after the weekend freeze and power loss. Our old electric water heater no longer worked and was badly leaking in the attic. Abacus came right out, turned off the electricity and water at the heater, drained it, and gave me a fixed estimate to replace it with a new heater and install a relief valve and local circuit breaker as required by city code--the attic location was very difficult to reach and required removal of an attic stair and frame and cutting water pipes for access and removal. They supplied a great carpenter to do that job. On the next day that I was at home (on Friday of that week) two installation plumbers and the carpenter arrived and worked hard for most of the day. Everything is working; they managed to avoid damaging anything (lots of pipes and wires in the way in the attic), and they kept every thing clean. The price was exactly as quoted, not cheap, but reasonable for all the work they did. Here are my only minor irritations: First, on Monday I was told that the labor to shut down the old water heater would be credited on the final price (no extra charge for day one) only if I agreed right then to the full job. I thought that was a tacky business practice, and the plumber was embarrassed to report this pricing decision from his boss. Second, the Friday workers, who had been professional, efficient, courteous, and neat the entire day, failed to attend to some minor things at the end that would have taken only five minutes to clean up and leave a lasting impression of professional quality: (1) the attic door was not left fully seated in closed position, and when I went into the attic to check, they had left the attic light on; (2) the manhole cover (very heavy) was opened to reveal the water meter and cutoff valve, but was not replaced; (3) the circuit breaker box in our garage was left open; and (4) the garden hose (used to test water cutoff) was left uncoiled on the lawn. These are all minor things that literally could have taken attention to detail for just five minutes at the end. This kind of thing could leave one wondering if there were other loose ends that I don't know about--but I think everything is fine. Overall, though, I am very satisfied with them after having initially been suspicious only because I was randomly calling plumbers from the internet after every plumber that had been recommended to me was unable to respond to my emergency call. Now, I would have no hesitation in using Abacus again.

  First and foremost, my family and I want to say thank you to Isaac Martirosian! While on vacation our water heater busted, and Abacus Plumbing responded swiftly after hours. Isaac is honest, compassionate, and attentive. I personally had dozens of questions that ranged in simple to complex, and Isaac took the time no matter what he was doing to explain until I understood the answer. Having professional personal skills like that is validating because it showed in his workmanship as well. Our new water heater is up and running, and I am amazed how great the new system looks installed and performs. Any future plumbing work at our household, we know we’ll be requesting Isaac every time.
