Excellent job on day one and two. Don't pay them until the job is complete though. I ended up on unstalling my own registers and getting this bootleg thermostat. To make matters worse, the "owner" up-sold me on some fancy thermostat and left me with this junk.

I called World Class Heating and Cooling as soon as they opened because my heat had went out during the night. They were at my home to fix my heat within the hour! I can't stand to be cold, so to have this kind of service so fast was great!! Thank you so much! I highly recommend this company!!!

I've included pictures of before and after, and I think it'll be obvious which were which. First, the backstory. Our units that we had replaced were 17 year old, 10 SEER Bryant heat pump units - a two ton and a three ton. One (or maybe both of them) have had a slow refrigerant leak for over a decade. That refrigerant is the old R22 that has been slowly phased out and is getting extremely expensive - in upwards of $100 per pound. We would have to have roughly 2 to 3 pounds of refrigerant added each year and the price is just going up. We had asked several people and were told that it wasn't worth repairing as the leak was in the coil, meaning it was going to be a couple thousand dollars. Being that our units are older, using the older refrigerant, and not nearly as efficient as what's on the market nowadays, we figured it was time to go shopping. Oh...and I forgot to mention our heat pump was starting to flake out on us a bit...which really forced our hand. We happened to go to a home show at Cobb Galleria where there were quite a few HVAC companies and we had several of them come out and provide quotes. Each company was given the same information about our situation. We don't plan to be in our current residence for more than maybe 3 more years, HOWEVER, I like to keep my house cool...and my electric bill was getting a bit out of control. So what I wanted was a system that would be more efficient, be able to cool my house comfortable, but not be the bottom of the barrel in terms of equipment but I was most definitely not trying to break the bank with the latest, greatest and most efficient units. We had seven different companies come out and provide us quotes. From most the other companies I was quoted for the baseline 14 SEER units that the companies installed and some with variable air speed handlers. The prices ranged anywhere from $8,500 to $14,000 to replace both the existing heat pumps. Again, all these were for single stage, 14 SEER units. Then, based off the reviews I saw on World Class, I gave them a call and had them come out. Dan was on time, cordial and very thorough. He found things that only one other person had noticed - I don't know that it's all that visible in the images I attached, but there was a significant kink in the copper supply line to my two ton unit that looks like the installers used a wrench to try and straighten back out. We talked about the various options and he provided me a business card and a brochure for some Amana equipment. I dropped an email to the address on the business card and within maybe 30 minutes I'd received a call from Justin. After talking with Justin, we decided that going for the upper tier Amana system didn't make sense for me because with that tier you're paying for a lifetime replacement warranty - the catch is the warranty is not transferrable to a new owner. For this reason, I dropped down to the Amana Distinctions lineup, but doing so I was able to upgrade to a 2-stage, 16 SEER setup with a new 5" media filter (fancy term for a much more efficient air filter that only needs to be replaced once a year), and two thermostats designed to take advantage of the ComfortNet communications between the heat pumps and the variable speed air handlers. With those upgrade, I was able to split the difference from the low to high quotes and I have an excellent setup. World Class did an amazing job from the initial contact through the completion of the job. Everything looks beautiful installed (much prettier than before) and all was left cleaner than it was when they showed up! The units are quiet and the comfort in my home has never been this consistent. I've had the system for going roughly three weeks now and I honestly couldn't be happier. They did an amazing job for a fair price, and the system performance is excellent. I HIGHLY recommend calling World Class Heating and Cooling to anyone looking for an honest and effective HVAC company. I'll continue to use them as long as I live in their service area.
