  We had a problem with our heater right in the middle of a cold spell and David not only answered the phone, he figured out what the problem was and had the part and the heater fixed the first time. We appreciate that kind of reasonably priced service. Thank You

  I'll preface this review with the fact that I deal with contractors on a daily basis. Williams Heating and Cooling is one of the best contractors I've had the pleasure of working with. Dave the owner came to our home and sized our house properly for a new heat pump system. He offered us a free estimate with several options to help the system fit into our budget. His price was the lowest I received from other contractors. We set a date for him to start and on that date he showed up with the entire system ready to be installed. He told me it would take three days and he finished in 2 1/2. There were no hidden fees, we paid the quoted price. Dave and his workers were friendly, respectful and courteous. I would highly recommend Williams Heating and Cooling.

  Williams is a one-man company, and with that come pros and cons. When our furnace went out, Williams was the cheapest quote for coming out and diagnosing the problem. He also came out same day. When we tried to pay for his service call (and pay the quoted amount), he said we would work it out after he quoted the replacement furnace. It was 2 days before he called back with a quote (We had no heat during this time in January). The furnace he had chosen was low quality and much too big for the size of our house. His quote for just the furnace (installation was extra) was more than other quotes we received for higher quality furnaces and installation. We decided to go with a different company and sent a check to Williams for the service call. A few weeks later we received a bill for TRIPLE the original price, he had added on extra charges that he had not told us about at the beginning. Williams may be good for cleaning services and diagnostics, I feel that he doesn’t have access to quality parts for reasonable prices and large projects (ie furnace replacements) are too big for his one-man company. If you decide to use this company, make sure to get in writing exactly what he is going to charge so that you aren’t hit with unexpected charges later.
