My husband and I ran out of fuel yesterday on our way to Padre Island. With our camper in tow and two dogs in the heat of the day. I called 911 told them what was going on, they transferred me to the sheriffs department. Dispatch told me he would have an officer there within 10 to 15 minutes, they were in the middle of a shift change. Dispatch advised officer would pick one of us up, it would be our responsibility to buy the gas can and the fuel. Officer was there within 15 minutes picked my husband up, took him to the gas station a few miles down the road. Officer told my husband the station would charge him between 26 to 28 dollars for gas can. He said let me have my son meet us there with a can. His son met my husband and officer at the gas station with a gas can, they filled up the gas can. My husband also told officer he was concerned about me being left in the truck alone beside the road. He sent The newly elected Sheriff to sit behind me in the camper until they return with the gas. Once we got the truck started they followed us to the gas station to make sure we made it OK. The officers name was David we don’t have his last name. We cannot thank him snd the sheriffs office enough, for their help and compassion in our desperate time of need!!! Thank you so much Raymondville TX Sheriff Department!!!! We give them Five Stars!!!!

What a joke of a department! Only giving one star as none is not an option! Lazy deputies who don’t want to do their jobs! And no accountability for their actions! I was chased by an erratic driver at a high rate of speed, tailgating me all the way from El Sauz ranch area into Raymondville. I called dispatch for assistance and an officer met me at the Stripes next to where the vehicle stopped for gas and I was told there was nothing he could do about it (which is total BS by the way) I know the law! Not sure the officer even spoke to them at all! Great job protecting your community Sheriff Spence and your team of worthless officers! Our tax dollars hard at work and more busy playing politics than doing their JOB!
