Approximately 10 years ago I purchased a York Furnace from Washington Energy Service. I found the sale, delivery and installation to have been excellent. Subsequently, I bragged to several friends how well the experience went. Well after today, the bragging stops to be replaced with shaming. I called WES today to arrange for an annual furnace cleaning. In addition to the receptionist (person answering WES phone) being hard to hear (she spoke too softly) and very difficult to understand (she spoke too hurriedly), she was extremely rude. After finally agreeing that WES did annual furnace cleaning, I asked if the price included a filter to which she responded yes but only a 1 inch filter. I said my furnace required a 4 inch filter to which she repeated WES installs a 1 inch filter. I then asked if WES services products they sell to which the RECEPTIONIST THEN HUNG UP ON ME. Needless to say this was the last phone call I will make to Washington Energy Service. Based on this call today, I would not recommend Washington Energy Service. Too Bad they once were very good.

We recently had 24 new windows installed by WA Energy at our home and the quality of the windows and their Sales and Installation Teams were fantastic. They completed the installation in a few days which was faster than we expected. They always showed up when promised and cleaned up every day when finished as if they hadn't done major demo that day. We compared 5 window companies and WA Energy was the most professional in their explanation and pricing. They didn't make us feel like we were dealing with a used car salesperson like a few of the other vendors we heard from. The new windows were manufactured in the time period we were told to expect. We just love our new windows and we feel the finished product looked more impressive than the sample window we were shown. We would recommend WA Energy without hesitation.

Hi Roland! Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We're so glad to be a part of this project and even happier to hear that you are pleased with your new windows and the work performed by our team. Please enjoy your new windows and don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything else we can do for you. Have a wonderful day, Roland!

Avoid. Tech basically took my furnace apart and put it back together over a 3h period. Swapped 3 major components (totaling over $2k), and it still didn't work. The guy was totally scattershot, just swapping stuff out till something seemed to work, not approaching the problem in an organized way with proper measurements. Pretty sure I could also smell booze on him whether from recent drinking or a hard previous night, I don't know. I finally told him to just put everything back the way he found it and showed him the door. His parting words were "you probably need to replace the entire furnace.' A tech from another company was able to repair the furnace in a couple hours. Still a costly repair but not a new furnace.

Hi Trystan, We appreciate you reaching out and expressing your experience. This allows us to grow and provide the best service and communication possible to our customers and our team. Currently, we’re having very serious conversations with the technician to investigate the situation. This is an isolated incident and very out-of-character for that technician. We want to ensure those claims are 100% accurate before moving forward and escalating the case. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. Regarding your equipment, our position is to always find solutions which prevent near-future recurring issues – taking this stance mitigates premature repairs and stress on the equipment. Our suggestions are based on our technical knowledge, industry best-practices, and our work on thousands of units through the years. That being said, we will always be open, listen to the needs of the homeowner, and try to work around budgetary concerns, preferences, and timelines. Your 14 year old furnace had a failing inducer motor and control board, most likely from a warped collector box – as mentioned, we always yield to the immediate budgetary needs of the homeowner. But based on the particular error and the age of the furnace, one of our suggestions was to replace the furnace to avoid recurring issues. However, after reviewing the notes from the job, we acknowledged the thoroughness of communication was not at the standard which we pride ourselves in. We are very sorry, and believe this was the main thread which led to your experience. Thank you for reaching out to us and taking the time to express your concerns. Kindly, The Washington Energy Team
