  UB Cool Air is not very reputable. They charged me $485 for doing nothing, then told me I needed a new coil at $2500. I called a different contractor for a second opinion, who cleaned out my plugged drain and also said the unit is running great - and only charged me $90

  Unless you want to extremely over pay--don't use UB Cool Air. We were charged $125 for a $20 valued thermostat and $55 for less than 6 inches of wire (<$10 value). Price gouging is not the way small businesses should make money. Yes, our AC was repaired (wires replaced and new thermostat, but we were ripped off) I do not recommend this business to ANYONE.

  My recent experience with this company was a bad one. They are the chosen vendor of my home warranty company. Before they would even consider replacing the a/c unit, they required that I pay for an almost $400 "clean-the-coils" repair. The warranty company sided with them so I asked for an appointment on a Wednesday to get this done. They refused. I called the warranty company and asked for a different vendor and they wouldn't give me one. Then UB Cool Air called and told the warranty company that they wouldn't do any work for us at all. Now to be fair, I am the one that lost my temper with the situation first. And when one loses their temper, they have lost the battle. So please, folks, choose a different a/c company. These folks aren't the ticket for you. FYI - another vendor did come and fix my a/c! Works swell.
