  Horrible service. Won't buy solar or wind generated power true hypocrites. Legislation in Texas will hopefully catch up to these coops that refuse to buy customer power yet always have power outages and issues. Worst part you can't get away from them. No options. Highly vadvise buying a generator if you are on TCE.

  Not only is the customer service terrible, and they act like they have the highest paying job in the world and y’all down their noses. Additionally, when we were out of state for two weeks, and spaced the electric bill, we received a call from the house sitter saying the electric went off. Fine, our fault. We call to pay it, and not only is the house HOT but they say it’s going to be a few hours before someone can come out and turn it on. Furthermore, it was 30 dollars for them to disconnect it, and 30 dollars to reconnect it. $60 on fees and hours of time without electricity. United NEVER gave us any problems, and if we forgot the bill it was on instantly after it was paid.

  They used to knock on your door before they cut off your meter. But apparently they no longer has the manpower for it, even though there's a man on the site to disconnect you. Hmm.. Also, their deposit for new service has increased to an astronomical amount, making it difficult for the lower-income residents to initiate service. And to top it off, their telephone customer service representative or very rude and inflexible. they say that as an electric consumer as a cooperative we are members and owners of The cooperative. But you wouldn't know that at times when you're a little short on funds. However, once connected the service is great. Recoveries from outages or damages and failures are usually pretty quick.
